Thanks, this is looking better and better for me - at least from what I originally envisioned.

    Legal guys - Bankruptcy question

Yes that is what I am thinking.  It is in the best interest of the Landlord that their tenants do not all have to file bankruptcy and therefore they should be ready/willing to negotiate.  It also remains to be seen what/how the Federal and State emergency relief programs will look like once they...

    Legal guys - Bankruptcy question

Well... we do receive the state (Florida) Homestead Exemption for tax purposes, so I assume that would cover this?

    Legal guys - Bankruptcy question

Thanks, that is what I am assuming - also my Social Security is probably protected.  I suspect I should go see a bankruptcy lawyer with my lease, SBA Loan documents, etc to let them review and make recommendations to pre-position my finances in the worse happens.  Or should I see an accountant? ...

    Small Business Support Group

Thanks, my sentiments exactly.  My wife - the eternal optimist wants to take the loans, but I am more of a realist and am very wary.   I'll wait it out a while but the wife is going to be pissed, ha!

    Legal guys - Bankruptcy question

While I am hoping for the best, I need to plan for the worst.  I am a retired from the USG and have a federal annuity/pension & social security.  My wife and I opened a small retail business and had to sign a "Personal Guarantee" for our SBA Loan and with our landlord for our lease.  Our ...

    Small Business Support Group

Great thread idea.  Question - I am the owner of a small retail store.  Only been open about 3 months so we're going through the expected and planned growing pains, not making any profit and barely covering billsb(before COVID-19).  With all of the SBA and other programs offering interest free...

    Another Las Vegas topic

Hello FBG guys. Yes I know there are many Las Vegas conversations but I would like current.  I've never been and would like suggestions.  Maybe 3 nights, 4 days.  Would like to stay in an iconic place on the strip.  Most glitzy hotel to stay, best shows to see, etc. Not a big gambler but will...

Tell how the shutdown is affecting you.

Two problems with that. First we are required to submit retirement papers/application at least 120 days before the retirement date. I submitted mine on 15 August 2018.  Second, I might could have postponed my date at the last minute, but if I retired in 2019 I would have lost over 140 hours of...

Tell how the shutdown is affecting you.

Thanks, good idea and I just did that - to both my Representative (Vern Buchanan) and Senators (Rubio). Sorta like spitting into the wind but can't hurt.  Please, everyone join me. Thanks.
