Weather is looking good (for now). 45 degrees at start, and will probably get up to ~53 by the end. As you mentioned, essentially no wind. Chance of rain has been bouncing between 15% and 40% the last few days, and hopefully we don't get any, even over night to avoid slippery leaves.
I'm not...
Good luck!
Your long run looked good. This will obviously be a different experience than you have had with marathons in the past, but you know the distance and the pain. You got this!
I'm using the Forerunner 945M after having the 245M for awhile. I mainly switched for the longer battery life and it has a bigger watchface (not a determining factor, but I like it better).
Another reason I switched was that I felt like the 245 was tracking my cadence instead of HR. I found...
Thanks for thinking of that, it was also the first one I checked on. The only option available is the virtual run.
I signed up for the Marshall University Marathon on 11/2. I'm going to try and use the headphones since it's "discouraged" and the verbiage in the rules sounds like it's more of a...
While it is listed in the rules, on this course page
https://runsignup.com/Race/MarshallUniversityMarathon/Page/CourseMaps
It says
"No dogs, no strollers, no baby joggers, no bikes (other than official Bike EMS and Patrol Teams) , no inline skates, roller skates will be allowed on the course...
I was looking at nearby races coming to see if I could still find something. I ran across
The Matshall University Marathon which is a smaller one and I could at least drive there the night before
https://runsignup.com/Race/WV/Huntington/MarshallUniversityMarathon
However, it has this listed...
I'm skipping the race.
Wind is already >20mph and is increasing with 40+ mph gusts. Rainfall just for the 8am hour is 0.5 inches...and they have already delayed coral opening.
My wife was going to take me down and pick me up, and with this mess and possibility of delays, it's not worth it.

It's on the RTRT app or

The timing mats on this course are not accurate, other than the mid-point. I think the first one shows a faster than true time and the latter ones are slower, if I remember right.
Because of the weather, unless something...
Just seeing this thread as it popped up as a "similar thread".
I had my feet evaluated at Fleet Fret when getting running shoes. They have a scanner that does an analysis and they send you the imaging.
My right foot is slightly wider and shorter than my left foot. I was mercilessly body...
According to Weather Channel, it will be 68 at the gun with like a 50% chance of rain with 16 mph winds. Temps will drop a couple of degrees during the race, rain becomes more likely, and wind picks up a bit.
Not hugely different than Monumental from a couple years ago when I blew up. Not...
Interesting feedback...
My weather channel app doesn't have hourly out that far, so I hadn't looked at race time temps. I had figured the start would be the low of the day (40s), not the high (60s). I don't think I'd want to run it on a sunny 60+ day, nor would I want a day of 40s and rain...
I'm supposed to run the Columbus Marathon on Sunday. Weather right not looks like 98% chance of rain and 15-25 mph winds
Apparently this will be the first ever rainy marathon day in its history, if that happens (which is surprising).
If it is those conditions, I'm not sure I'm...
