I just realized two songs from my list (different bands) are currently on Applebees commercials. Hopefully you’re not sick of those songs by the time they come up on the countdown.
5 SEC teams made the WCWS, but 4 are on the same side of the bracket. The SEC half is chalk, and the other side was all upsets.
#6 Texas vs #3 Florida
#7 Tennessee vs #2 Oklahoma
Ole Miss vs #12 Texas Tech
#16 Oregon vs #9 UCLA
Should be a fun World Series.
The English Beat Family Tree #24
Two Swords ⚔️
Artist - The English Beat
Album - I Just Can’t Stop It (1980)
Another fun, upbeat song with fairly serious lyrics. It’s either a song about non-violence or about the virtues of punching Nazis. We report, you decide.
I've never been one for...
I’ve had a few, but I think I got this.
Dude = Frosty
Game’s over = the lead is insurmountable
So is the season = yet Wolves will still lose this series
North Korea = OKC since the crowd all wears the free playoff shirts
In 6 = will win this series 4-2
And 6 again = and will win in the finals...
Just binged the latest season (#2) of Black Snow. It’s a cold case / missing person show in Australia starring Travis Fimmel. He’s great in it. This season was just 6 episodes so it’s a pretty quick watch, and it’s a show my wife and I like. I believe it’s AMC, so we watch it on Prime.
The English Beat Family Tree #25
Get-a-Job
Artist - The English Beat
Album - Wha’ppen (1981)
Wrapped in a peppy, upbeat song is some social commentary many would feel is still relevant 40+ years later.
Manufacture rubbish
Although no one can afford it
You could make a profit
More than...
I saw it mentioned somewhere that since it wasn’t in the last two minutes of OT that it wasn’t covered in the report. Who knows if that is really the case.
