The problem with Howard is less than desirable athleticism, namely speed.  Cohen fills that speed gap nicely, I can see him being used as a gadget rb initially, and maybe working his way into a Sproles reggie bush role,  but he is not going to take Howards job.  Howard's talents are OL chemistry and football IQ, not overwhelming athleticism, but you cannot pound the rock with Cohen.

Chicago will also be in plenty of negative game scripts in 4th quarters and now that an RB that has receiving skills is present Howard could be pulled in those situations.  Chicago had no other option in those situations last year.

    Sure I can!

I always think it's funny how before preseason it is eternal optimism for all rookies.  Then, at a certain point, reality hits.  I like to be the guy that doesn't buy the rookie hype (when not absolutely warranted by obvious talent).  I'd rather be surprised by the 1 out of 10 rookies who break out (in fantasy) than disappointed that 9 out of 10 busted.

Before preseason we all get amnesia about the huge graveyard of past rookie busts.  I think it gives you an advantage in Dynasty to not get that amnesia.

I would say looking at preseason results as a definitive answer to a players value is equally as damaging to roster/player decisions as investing heavily on rookies that are unproven.  Actually, i'd say writing off a player based on his rookie preseason results is downright foolish.

Thanks for the deep insight while simultaneously bumping every Ted Ginn thread possible to jerk him.  No motives in your comments i'm sure.  Brees is gonna love targeting the drops king of the NFL.

Is he in over Woods/Austin? That is my concern.

I could see him being enough of a threat in the slot that he will force them to go to many more 3 WR sets.  I'm hoping he is used as Goff's safety net for PPR value for his rookie year.

Was hoping for big things from him this year and Sammy hurts that a decent amount but now he just needs to move past woods to be option #2 and Sammy could actually help open stuff up underneath for him

I've seen people saying that Watkins arrival is bad for Kupp, but Watkins being on the field is going to open up the middle of the field even more for Kupp to work, and Goff will more times than not opt for the check-down.

And btw I didn't even get into Blount. I would have thought that was a horrible trade if it were just Pryor for AP and hurns.   But Blount is a force this year.   You traded away a ton to get very very little.

Come tell me how valuable Blount is when Brady and Gronk are back...along with Dion Lewis...IN A DYNASTY.

Wow.  No offense.  HORRIBLE trading.  Pryor is young, a freak athlete and just scratching the surface of what he can do in the NFL.   You might have just traded away a fantasy dynamo for the next 8 years.  And in return you got a #2 wr who might not even be the 2nd best wr on his own team (Marqise Lee is when healthy), and a past his prime injured Rb.

Peterson for ivory and Ferguson is eh as well.  Ivory is ok if healthy o suppose but he's garbage RT now and no spring chicken.

Ferguson is not a very talented back.  He's not the long term answer in Indy.

IMO Pryor is becoming a premiere dynasty hold.  He's absolutely electric.

Yes..Pryor is young...and has shown one small flash...IN HIS 6TH YEAR IN THE NFL.

Pryor - 6 years in the NFL - 16 catches

Hurns - 3 years in the NFL 16 TD catches

I'm not a HUGE Bortles fans, but would you like to compare QB's going forward in a dynasty?

    I will sleep fine tonight.

Classic sell high?  If you view him this way, what would you be looking to get out of him to make it worthwhile?

I sold him after the Gordon news broke in a 12 team PPR dynasty:

    I gave:

    Pryor and Blount

    I got:

    Allen Hurns and Adrian Peterson

Immediately sold off Peterson for Chris Ivory and Josh Ferguson

I already had Julio Jones, Kelvin Benjamin, Mike Evans locked in as starters, with young upside guys Dorsett and Boyd behind them, so Hurns as my #4 felt like a no brainer.

Personally I think Coleman is the man in Cleveland long term and if McCown takes back the starting QB job then Barnidge will come back into play and take away targets from Pryor.  He is a solid player to own this season IMO, but not optimistic beyond that for big numbers, so I will gladly walk away with Hurns in exchange for a $0 waiver wire pick-up from last week.

I've got the Roku player with Netflix and Hulu Plus, and this antenna with an amplifier. Signal strength of 100 and an insane picture. Saving $90 a month.

    antennas direct DB4

There are a few reviews that have stated that antenna is only for UHF channels. Do you have any issues with getting VHF channels?

Also, those same reviews mentioned that they just ordered another antenna for the VHF stations. How do you hook up 2 antennas to the TV? Splitter?

I'm getting UHF and VHF just fine. The picture is crazy clear.
Sweet! I should be getting my antenna in the mail today :excited:

Also, I just got my free phone service set up last night thanks to this thread, an obi110, and google voice.

Roku boxes were set up a few days ago as well. Once I figure out the antenna setup, I'll be left with a $29.99/month comcast bill for internet only (25mbps download speed ) for 6 months and then it jumps up to $45/month and stays there... at least it's not the $180/month that I was paying for their triple play service.

    to this thread.

Onoe last question for you, BingBing...

Can you share your procedure with installing and hooking up your antenna? There are a couple of directv dishes mounted on the roof at my house (from previous renters)... I was planning to mount the antenna outside where one of the dishes are/were... and then use the coax cables that are are up there (and they are already run down into the bedrooms).

Is it as simple as mounting the antenna and plugging the other end into my TVs? I've got two TVs that will need the signal so, I'm planning to use a splitter.

Is that all there is to it?

    TIA.

It's just that simple, so long as your TV has a digital tuner. My HDTV which about 4 years old has one for reference. Some people run wire from the antenna to ground to in case of a lightning strike.
Thanks for the tip! Just did a quick google search and found THIS helpful link.
Same link I used to hook mine up. I added a $30 Antenna amplifier from Walmart to my setup though. Just ran the main line from the antenna into the Amplifier "IN" and then split the feed coming from the "out" right after it led into the house.

  11. I've been researching all this for a while, and this question just hit me...it may be a stupid one, but I do not know the answer to it. The outdoor HD antenna will run into my house through a coaxil cable...what is it supposed to be run to and back out of in order for it to connect to my TV through an HDMI cable??? My HDTV has a built in HD Tuner, but that still doesn't tell me how the coaxil is converted to HDMI before it reaches my TV, like what my HD DVR does.

If your tv has a tuner, it should have a coax input.
And the signal will be in HD. Thru the coax.
Oh, nice! Thanks.I'm ready to make the switch.

  13. 4th page??? This thread slipped to the 4th page?

    C'mon slackers.

I need some opinions on Doucet and Breaston now that Boldin is gone. I've heard it discussed on here before...but thought a few more might chime in now that Boldin is officially gone.

    Thought SSOG might like this...

(Rotoworld) The Cardinals are expected to make Steve Breaston a first-round tender offer in the coming days.

Analysis: The tender will position Breaston to receive $2.946M in 2010, when he may ascend to a starting job for the first time in his career. The Cards couldn't get away with tendering him at a lower level without risking a team swooping in to offer him a long-term deal. Fellow RFAs Deuce Lutui, Lyle Sendlein, Ben Patrick, and Gabe Watson are in line for second-round tenders.

Does this put an end to the Early Doucet hype, or am I reading too much into this? I think Breaston is a great buy low. He will never be a stud, but IMO, he has the ability to be one of those Derrick Mason type WR's who continuously produces despite what the naysayers say. I'm not an eloquent guy, but Breaston just seems smooth to me.

I think Breaston is the starter.
I think he is too, but I don't think the gap between his numbers and Doucet's numbers will be anywhere close to the gap between Boldin and Breaston's. Could Leinart rely heavily on the slot guy also?
