  1. I made the cut with no problems. Only loss so far was a throwaway $3 on Dez Bryant. I still have the following guys: Bills: Allen, Moss, Diggs, John Brown Chiefs: Hill Packers: Rodgers, Adams Bucs: Brady, Godwin I may have a chance to make the Super Bowl, but then the glitter turns to dust. I would need the Bills to win in a defensive battle with the NFC team unable to muster much offense.
  2. Watson showed this year how great he is as an individual and how little that mattered to the number of games his team won. Lawrence leaves the Jags with a huge war chest to build a team around him that might be able to win a lot of games, if not next year, then in the future as he matures. Lawrence is the clear choice for a team which needs to be built from the ground up.
  3. Is there a link to a live scoring page this year?
  4. At some point the combo of J Gordon, Decker and an irrelevant Funchess will probably kill me. The last three weeks I have counted only two WRs and the second guy has produced only 10.2, 9.8, and 3.4 points.
  5. I watched all 5+ minutes of Lawrence Taylor's greatest hits and one thing struck me. He never used his helmet as a weapon. Every tackle was arms and shoulders first. He may have hurt some people but he was not a head hunter. Burfict is deliberately trying to injure other players. And he isn't the only one doing so. Somewhere along the way the culture of playing defense has changed and it is hurting the game. It is a shame that some of the last eight teams playing for the Championship are doing it with their survivors rather than all their stars. Shazier was the one using his helmet as a weapon

  7. Next week there are 250 teams with Mariota and one of Romo, Brady, or Ben. Most will have one other option. Perhaps deeper troubles for 391 with Ben & Brady, 197 with Romo & Brady, and 81 with Romo & Ben. 579 still alive with Dez and one of Brady, Romo, or Ben.
  8. Oops on Bradford. Sure wish I had gone with 3 QBs. Just have to hope Brady has a career year and Bradford doesn't crap in his pants on week 4. This week = 187.8 with Adams, D Allen, and Ivory to go. All would have to be large to make any improvement. Safe 'til next week is also you need this early.
  9. A very first look at what it takes to win - The top 5 entries had 25, 18, 26, 24, and 19 players/teams (which will henceforth be refered to as men or men weeks). Not much conclusive evidence as to optimum roster size. However, they do have some interesting stats. You have $250 to play with and 16 weeks of play (assuming that you go to the finals). This makes $3750 man/weeks for a full season after deducting $250 for bye weeks. What seems to be relevant to the success of the top five is relatively few significant zeroes (no score weeks excepting the byes). A few terms which I will use n
