so first I saw a rumor that FSU is looking at Deion Sanders to replace Norvell  then I see this-

@catholiclawyer: The suggestion by Reggie Bush that Deion Sanders should be the next head coach at #USC is either brilliant or the hottest of hot takes. https://twitter.com/CFBONFOX/status/1439231646893543440/video/1

    this bothered me as well

@rodger: question: when did "thumb out" become the default middle finger form? did I miss a massive shift in bird-flipping philosophy and technique https://twitter.com/rodger/status/1439335619042414593/photo/1

    That's the PWT/low-iq method.

    This is the correct presentation.

Yeah, today sucks for Florida fans, but there's a clear path for them to make it right. Win out, including Georgia, and say hello to Atlanta ... which hot take artists will bill as the real championship game.

I bet on Bama (stupidly full game rather than first half, which always wins), but I was super impressed by Florida.  Hoping you're right, and I'll be cheering on the Gators.

I learned my lesson when I was 27 years old.  I was in a big hurry to get to work because I had a meeting, was running late and I woke up late.  So, I'm doing like 70+ in a 55, I go around a corner and *bam* there's a state highway patrol officer waiting there with a radar gun and he lit 'em up.

So, he pulls me over and said "Do you know why I pulled you over?"  Like an IDIOT, I said "Yes, because I was speeding."  He said "How fast do you think you were going?"  I said "approximately 70 is my best guess knowing full well I was doing closer to 80 than 70.  And he said "Okay, great, so that's not why I pulled you over.  I pulled you over for an expired tag but since you volunteered that you were speeding and the rate of speed, I'm going to write you up for two tickets today."

And by God he did, I got two tickets that day.  So for the last 25 years when they ask "Do you know why I pulled you over?"  I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS say "No sir, I have absolutely no idea!"  I've even been baited before.  One time the officer pulled me over and he said "Do you know why I pulled you over?"  I said "No sir."  He said "seriously, you have no idea?  What did you think when you were in the passing lane passing everyone else up?"  I said "I thought that I was using the proper lane, the passing lane, to pass everyone else up, was I not supposed to do that?" :)

I wouldn't rush to anoint him. To make an analogy, dude is a righty that throws 89 mph and straight in baseball. Teams might really adjust to his below-average arm strength and accuracy. Make him throw outside the hashes by shading the cornerbacks to the inside shoulder. Make him throw deep by bringing up the safeties. Basic stuff. The thing that encouraged me was that the throw to Seals-Jones had some oomph.

But really, it reminds me of Minshew Mania after his great Thursday night against Tennessee in 2019. Heinecke has had a couple of rock solid games against good defenses in the pros, but nobody has had the chance to adjust. He left tons of yards last night on the field w/r/t YAC. He missed McLaurin several times behind him and Humphries several times in front of him on basic slants and screens.

    He wasn't actually that good.

That's really the gut assessment I have from last night. Could be wrong.

Didn't do Logan Thomas any favors either.  <_<

Are they for sure be a top 5 fantasy DEF?

and would anybody prefer WAS over PIT, LAR, or TB?

Nope.  I snagged them off the WW in dynasty near the end of last year to stash for this year, thinking that pass rush would be deadly.  And they'll be good, but the first place schedule is not doing them ANY favors.  Some very tough QB's they have to face, other than the Giants.  And one of the Giants games is week 18.  I'm going to hold on for the first few to see if they are transcendent but won't be afraid to start streaming in week 3 or 4.

    Sigh.

I should have mentioned with Adblock Plus (at least with the Chrome extension) - just click on the extension ABP icon, click "Block element" towards the bottom of the menu, then click on the banner on the page.

I was also able to do this to block the "Join Now" button and the black eye joe smiley.

    League 1 ("average" 12-team 100$ faab):
    51 - winning bid, 49, 45, 21, 20, 10, 5

    League 2 (highly competitive 12-team 100$ faab):
    96 - winning bid, 62, 42, 41, 31, 27, 26, 23, 11

Bolded my bids, which at the time I placed them I thought were way over.

Holy crap.  Our commish in my dynasty league got him for $96 as well.    There were also failing bids at $80 and $86.

"keeping everyone honest"  I heard others on the radio saying this yesterday, and it doesn't make any sense.  We are not at auction bidding back and forth where it is possible you are bidding against me to solely make me spend more than I wanted to.  We are behind closed doors putting in a single bid.  Nothing more.

You're right of course.  When I used it I meant: "He should go for quite a bit more than $26, and I am 98% confident he will.  But if he doesn't and I get him for $26 I feel like I'm getting a bargain pickup."  I don't want someone else getting him for 8 or 13 or 22 or whatever.

This is all well and good, but none of these story lines make anyone excited. WWE has positioned themselves that they have to make a splash NOW to combat AEW's momentum. They should've learned long ago the art of the slow burn, but they just don't do it. "Hey these two guys are going to be the future match up at WM---let's have them fight tonight on RAW!!"   I am amazed they haven't told Austin to dust the boots off for one more time vs the Rock.

Crown Jewel, BIg E at Lashley won't happen. It will be Big E and Triple H and his walker in a tag team match vs Lashley and a holograph of  Benoit, just because that is what the King wants

Sounds like this is all that matters.  What Al Saud wants, he gets.  Eff the rest.

MNF curbstomped all other television last night. My word, >23 million total viewers.

Listening to Eli and Peyton last night was the most entertaining Television on a Monday night in a long time

Curious hag, did that 23 mill include the Manning View?  I am a super sports nerd and many of my friends/listens/views watched that at least part of the time last night.

There was a reason to the changing RB usage last year.   It was all because of injuries.  It was obvious last year who was going to be used until an in game injury happened.  That is the only reason Wilson got everything the week after he was inactive.

Ok, that makes sense.  Does that mean you a confident Mitchell is the bell-cow this week?
