  1. Not to hijack but I'm interested in this. I just got rocksmith 2014 and new fender to play with it. how do you get the pedals and other goodies your talking about. feel free to pm me so as not to clutter the thread.
  2. I think we are going to do a trip to Disney next fall. Is it too early to look at booking the trip now? If we book now and the run a special like free dining would we still be eligable for the special? Are we better off booking way in advance or waiting until closer to time?
  3. By far my favorite online shooter. Fantastic multiplayer. Never finished the single player campaign. Edit: Of course this game is several years old so I assume if you pick it up now you're probably squaring off against folks who know every inch of every map. Yep, If I get in close I get killed with out getting off a shot. I have a lot of trouble playing against friends for some reason, it just won't let me connect. No problem getting into a random game though. Not sure if it is the ea server or not.
  4. I don't care for the campaign mode but I do like the online play. It's worth dropping $4 to see if you like it.
  5. Any one heard anything about the Injustice: Gods Among Us? Also I'm still playing Battlefield Bad Co 2. I tried Bad Co 3 and hated it. Any suggestions for a replacement? I really only play online and since my reflexes aren't what they used to be and hate getting scholled by pimply faced teens I mostly hide in the bushes as a sniper. Suggestions?
  6. So what are the best shows to take in at the park? The Horror makeup show looks pretty what is on the must see list?
  7. So is the meal plan at universal worth it? It costs about $245 for a family of 4 for 3 days. any one do this?
  8. Would a travel agent be the best way to go or can you find deals just as easily online yourself? Also, can any of the locals speak to the crowd levels toward the end of March? I'm hoping most schools don't have spring break that early.
  9. If I can get away on weekends I'd like to do a few rides, probably no more than 2 or 3 hours each. My goal is to do 2 sprint tri's this year after that I have no idea. I suppose I could do a hybrid. I mean tri's are only 7 miles I think, but I'm not sure I would ever go off road.
  10. At $500 or so they're all going to be about the same. Make sure you get one that is the appropriate size. You looking at drop bar bikes or flat bar?I don't know. Whats best. I'm not trying to set any speed records, so I guess whetever would be most comfortable.
  11. Looking for advice on a starter road bike. I don’t want to start a new thread. Since I haven't ridden a bike in over 25 years and just need something to train with and get me through a sprint tri this summer I don't want to invest too much. I may decide I want to trail ride later and don't want to have $1000's tied up in an expensive road bike. I'd like to stay at $500 or less and am looking at bikes on bikesdirect.com. All those bikes look the same. I have been told to get one with at least 24 speeds due to the hills here. Any suggestions?
  12. Just picked up a berreta px4 subcompact. Hopefully it won't be too thick to carry. Now I want a ruger .22 for plinking.
  13. So you will be able to light up in public? Restaurants? Bars, side walks,
  14. I'm too lazy and frankly not interested enough to read all the previous posts so forgive me if this has been discussed. Will it be controlled and sold like cigarettes (i.e. taxed)? If so will there be a stiffer penalty for black market marijuana or is this just making it legal to possess?
  15. Nope, the XDs is their new slim line, single stack vs the double of the XD/XDm.I have read some articles on the XDs but have yet to see one in person. Would really like to get a look at one.I'm waiting for my local gun shop to have a decent sale on the xdm and I'm going to jump on a 9mm
  16. Yep, found it. You can also get into the park an hour before the riff-raff. A big perk for the one with the Harry Potter rides. We hit the big Harry Potter ride twice and had seen most of the rest of area before the place was opened for general admission when we went, which allowed us to hit the other rides while the masses were waiting over there.Definitely recommend staying on-site.So you get in early and get to skip the lines. Nice.
  17. The "Disney, if I only knew" thread has some really good info and advice. I'm considering a split trip to Universal Studios and Disney next spring and I'm looking for any tips or advice from fellow FBG's. I'm hoping this turns into a running thread like the Disney thread where those in the know can help out those of us who aren't. With that said, Let the knowledge flow. ETA: Let me get this started with the first questions. What are the advantages of staying on property? I thought I had read once that guest staying on property had head of the line priveledges at the parks. Does anyone know if this is true?
  18. Actually I think PP would have won anyway but that song just put the nails in the coffin.
  19. As a whole I think last year’s group was more talented. The problem is that a segment of the population (teenage girls) pushed Scotty through last year. Seems like every year the most talented singer gets the boot and a less deserving but more popular person brings it home. I like Holly because she is easy on the eyes but she probably should have gone home a couple weeks ago. I think the 2 most talented singers are probably Jessica and Joshua but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see PP and Holly in the finals.
  20. Does Disney ever tip its hand as far as free dining. The past couple times we went they offered it but I haven't seen anything about it yet. We're probably go back this october if we don't decide to to Universal this time instead.
  21. I'm not informed enough on the onsite/offsite thing to give you a meaningful take on that.If you're driving down, I'd consider Port Orleans Riverside on the moderate resort price level. Riverside isn't one or three gigantor buildings, but a bunch of separate two-story buildings with parking all over the facility. The upside here is you can pretty much drive right up to your room, so you don't have the long hallway walks or elevator waits you have at the larger buildings. And since the parking is so spread out, there's usually parking available by the main entrance if you don't want to walk across the grounds from your room to the restaurants or other main activities. If you stay onsite, you get free parking at the parks. That's not a ton of money (about $15 each time you park) but it does reduce hassle when you're excited to get to the park. You are given a sheet of paper at check-in to display on your dashboard and/or wave at the parking attendant as you drive up to the parking toll plaza, and the attendant will wave you through. The parking lots at Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios are small enough to manage and close enough to the front gate to be worth the flexibility of having your car with you. I would still recommend busing it to Magic Kingdom, though. The parking lot at Magic Kingdom is still a tram ride, then a monorail or boat ride, from the front gate. That process can take up to an hour. The bus from Riverside to Magic Kingdom is about 15 minutes and drops you off at the front gate of the park. You mentioned Sea World. I typed a few thoughts about Sea World, but I'm putting it in Spoiler tags so folks reading this and just wanting to read Disney stuff can bypass it quickly. Thanks. The tip about Port Orleans Riverside could definately come in handy. I really hadn't looked into sea world yet so that was helpfull.
  22. considering a trio in October. This time we are thinking of driving down. If I have my car is it worth it to look into offsite hotels and drive or still better to stay on site and get the dining plan. We paln on doing one day at Sea world but the rest will be at Disney. Any reccomendations for moderate resorts?
  23. Can some one explain this whole point thing to me? Or tell me where a good explanation of the system is. I've never heard of them.
  24. We bought a latex mattress a couple last month and have been very happy with it.
