I'm with you. Too many jokes, uses of irony, etc. It was good for a laugh (Oh for God's sake when Hulk jumps into the jet thing and tosses him out) but it didn't make for a believable AI-taking-over-the-world. He should have been darker, IMO. I have no idea how Ultron was in the comics. And he was Reddington, though I don't think that was the problem.
