  1. There's an expression I haven't heard before. Please explain.
  2. This was a hit when I was a kid. Made me want to throw up then. Some things never change.
  3. Luckily I'm not an empty-nestah just yet. But my youngest goes to UC Santa Cruz in a couple weeks. For me... I am moving from Boston area to Denver tomorrow. But I have my 21 year-old son and my 19 year-old daughter moving with me. Neither one of those two were college material. I'm hoping they each find a trade school to their liking in Denver. My son is an auto mechanic.... he worked at Sullivan Tire for the past year. So he needs to find something in auto mechanics. My daughter is into cosmetology and it looks like she'll be attending Paul Mitchell the School in Denver. once those two are working steadily, they'll each be moving on. Until then, I'm enjoying the ride.
  4. Why bother when there's hundreds of know-it-alls on the innerweb eager to show off how smart they are?
  5. Now you're speaking my language. I had this one on a 45.
  6. You're over-thinking it, chief. It's a song about the simple pleasures of summer. As for what kind of meal.... Why the 99, of course. The best deal in town.
  7. Bah. Mungo Jerry made a generation smile. How many people smile over Crazy Love? OK.... gimme a break.... I've had a few.
  8. As the father of two daughters and a 21 year-old son, I feel like it evens the playing field.
  9. From today's WSJ: https://www.wsj.com/articles/supreme-court-rejects-emergency-request-to-block-texas-six-week-abortion-ban-11630556283?st=an0mfr57689kbi6&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink
  10. I think he'll look like Marshall Faulk circa 1999. Now that's a bold prediction but I think he'll live up to it.
  11. Yes, only 47 years old. https://www.the-sun.com/sport/3594983/david-patten-patriots-cause-of-death-nfl-obituary/ Patriots' obituary here, along with statements by RKK and BB: https://www.patriots.com/news/former-patriots-wide-receiver-david-patten-passes-away
  12. I reckon so. Long-term care is incredibly expensive and now people are living longer than ever expected back when Social Security and Medicare were first implemented. Personally, I think the retirement age needs to be raised, there needs to be increases in the SS wage base, and like I alluded above, benefits to wealthy people who do not need it should be stopped.
  13. Cool. Here's the NYT article on that one. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/13/business/washington-long-term-care.html?.?mc=aud_dev&ad-keywords=auddevgate&gclid=CjwKCAjwybyJBhBwEiwAvz4G79TJmqNzoGXCfZZwZWabkIPI4938IWUgbNltCZFnzsnelBUEtqe4yRoCTP0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  14. Eliminating payouts to those with sufficient net worth (say $10 million) would be one way to stretch those funds some.
  15. The Patriots will win games with Mac 'n Cheese the same way the Patriots have won games in the past under Bill Belichick... by cheating. JK. I'm a Patriots fan. Seriously, I expect to see a pretty balanced offense. I hope to see Rhemondre Stevenson look like Marshall Faulk circa 1999. In fact, I expect to see Stevenson be in the discussion for OROY along with Mac 'n Cheese
  16. Whatever you do, try to make it short and snappy. Not some long-winded diatribe designed to show how much smarter you are than the rest of us FBGs.
  17. Sounded to me like BB wasn't convinced of the value of vaccination. He said there was a "high number" of staff who were "affected by" Covid who were vaccinated.
  18. I dunno about Folk returning. BB just released Cam Newton so Mac Jones wouldn't be looking over his shoulder at every play. I have to think a symmetrical mentality may be at play with the kicker position,
