  1. I have a bad feeling about this weekend for tebow. I think Fox is going to go ultra conservative and the Bears are going to shut it down.I would love to see a bunch of early passing for the broncos but somehow think the offense will revert this weekend due to the bears and their struggles. Coaches do this a lot. Instead of taking chances since chicagos offense stinks, they will play down to the competition and try and win with defense.

I'm a Bears fan. He will have no problems beating this defense.
really? the only things the bears defense does well is stop the run,,, right? i could be wrong
  2. For every time that Tebow says "I" in an interview, there are 30 times where he says "We". In that postgame they were trying to make it about him so hard, but he would have none of it. I am not Christian and cannot see how people do not like the kid.

Atheist here, and I love the kid for what he does and how he carries himself as a professional athlete. Couldn't care less about the noise and other stuff.
great posting - I'm agnostic and I completely agree. The kid is just a genuinely awesome person.
carburetor here, i love his drive. great motor on this kid.
  3. Caught the lawyer on one of the morning shows earlier - I wasn't paying close attention but he was asked something like, "If your client is actually innocent, how do you explain all the different people accusing him of these crimes?" His response was that, you know how these things go, people hear these allegations and they know it's a big school and there's a lot of money at stake, etc. Basically insinuating that the victims coming forward were lying just to profit.

apparently his lawyer had a child w/ an underage girl

The Daily says… Amendola served as the attorney for Mary Iavasile’s emancipation petition on Sept. 3, 1996, just weeks before her 17th birthday. The emancipation request … makes no mention of any special relationship between her and her lawyer. Roughly around the same time, Iavasile became pregnant with Amendola’s child, and gave birth before she turned 18. He was born in 1948 and was around 49 at the time. Court records show the two were married on Feb. 8, 2003, around the time her mother says their second child was born. They are now separated, but she has kept his surname.

  4. okif you hear "old man in the shower doing something inappropriate with young boy" which Joe admittied to, THAT is enough. And if you are not sure that is enough, FIND OUT.

No I don't think if that's all Joe heard he needs to "follow up". I take it I'll be in the minority on this but he's a 70+ year old head coach of a major college power. He's got enough on his plate and playing investigator is not one of those things. He did what he I think he should do which is tell the GA to report it the correct parties and let them handle it. At this stage of the game Joe lacks the mental capacity to oversee every aspect of what goes on at Penn State or deal with every issue.
he lacks the mental capacity to know that sexually abusing children is wrong?
  5. This is correct. My FIL is a professor at a university and if you have to report something, you go through the chain of command, and you trust that the matter is handled thoroughly.

No offense but your FIL is not Joe Paterno.
Who said he was? I was just addressing the chain of command in a university to another poster.
Right, but the situations aren't comparable because of the power differential. Your Father-in-Law might get in trouble for circumventing the proper chain of command. Paterno wouldn't.
chain of command gets thrown out the window in situations as severe as this one.
  6. Heard a guy on the radio say something the other day that I couldn't believe was true but I guess it is....He said many used cars are worth MORE now than they were worth a year ago. Huh??Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one who gives a #### about the rules? If I was in the market for a car now I would definitely be buying new.

    that doesnt make sense.
  7. how about selling a used car without buying one?

have to sell my gf's 2010 challenger with less than 10k miles. she still owes about 19 large. same car with more miles was selling on carmax for about 24/25k a few weeks ago. not exaclty sure which features she has.

what kind of offer can i expect if im not buying?

  8. our last child we named Andrew. My wife hates the name Andy so she said we'll call him Drew. I said "why don't we just name him Drew?" She said b/c I want his name to be Andrew.

This is a good name. Classic, 2 syllable, versatile for nicknames "Andy" "Drew", can't mess up the spelling.Give him a middle name like Joseph and you got an "A.J."I would name my kid this.
    thats my name
  9. My cellphone will be 6 years old this coming December. I'm considering getting an iPhone, but I have a few questions:

    1. If I get an iPhone, will I have to upgrade it twice a year to be happy? my gf has had her 3gS for a year and a half i think. she still loves it.

Muchas gracias for su buena onda y por su gran ayuda.

good luck with the rest, i think i pay $140/m for 2 phones 600+ minutes on ATT.
