  1. Very similar to a trade I did in preseason prior to Elliot resigning taking over for a team in a 16 team league. 2020 3 x firsts, a third, and Ito Smith for Ezekiel. all picks look to be top half at the moment. My team is the worst in the league with M Andrews, C Kirk being my 1-2 top players.
  2. Agreed that it was an inspiring win, but it is worrying as a Giants fan that he doesn’t really feel pressure coming at him with relatively poor ball security. Won’t take long for that to ruin him. I don’t blame him for not being in sync the first half, it is his first start. Some lovely throws too but none that were super wowing from a technical point of view. Not that you NEED to impress on every throw, just would have been nice to see.
  3. I was referring to the suggestion that Royce actually ran well as evident by his YPC, which we both know is just a fallacious argument. Lindsay ran better today but it doesn’t really mean anything when neither is producing at an acceptable level from a fantasy perspective.
  4. He had a total of 7 rushing yards from all his carries prior to one 24 yard rush when the Jets were defending the catch up passing. Won’t be trusting him any time soon.
  5. Yeah, sure he's laughing about not having the body to play the game he loves... If he loved it so much, he would be in shape and not pulling hammys. Because it's purely a matter of 'being in shape'.

  7. Discussing it in the context EBF provided, it's more of a case of why WOULDN'T you see what you can get for 'player x'. Even if they are one of the few pieces of strength to your roster. I'm content in riding off to the sunset with him, but like with Graham, if you can replace him with a core player + upside pieces you need across the board, it's well worth discussing. It's hardly equal context, but I was trying to move Rice all of last offseason - People were scared away by the price tag that I was offering (Well under his ranking value) because 'it's difficult to move studs'. He fell off a c
  8. I like selling rookie 3rds on crappy teams to eager owners who consider them "practically 2nd rounders". I agree that they're practically late-2nd-round picks, I just disagree that late-2nds are all that valuable. Yeah, value is value. If someone offers you an established player for a pick, don't turn it down because you need youth. Don't fall into the trap of a perpetual rebuild. You need great players not necessarily 22 year old players. The only strategy is ABC. You cannot makeover a team sitting on picks and sifting through waivers. You have to get rid of players you don't want and get pla
  9. I don't follow Casserly closely, so I don't know how reliable he is, but his excerpt doesn't inspire much faith. Flacco, Eli, and Stafford over Wilson? Yikes. I've tended to enjoy half of the articles I've read of his (Which is decent for an nfl.com columnist). But I struggle to see what Foles has really put on the board over Wilson. People act like Seattle have an all-world oline and receiving corp as well........ NFL record 7 TD game? Better TD%, better INT%, better offense? RW is terrific, absolutely, but he's been limited in his actual production (like 79 yards pass until the late 4th qua

  12. Honestly... The value you can get on this guy is the only reason I am half convincing myself not to nab him at the end of the first/early second of rookie dynasty drafts. Moncrief, Robinson, Bryant, Landry, Lee, don't really care too much... All in.
  13. Adam, always love your posts dude. Who are 5 backup QB's you'd target as potential stars within 3 to 4 years from now? Can only think of Osweiller, Cousins, Mallett, Nassib (Maybe, opportunity only), Jones (maybe, don't believe in the talent) unless you're still a fan of Chase Daniels...
  14. Can I ask what the point of the trade was?You don't have a personal preference? Either one is great, but having the choice between them is better. I have a personal preference, I just think trades like this are sorta a waste of time. If someone has a preference, actually use that advantage. These traders, personally, always just end up frustrating because you inevitably get annoyed when the other side does well, whilst ignoring the fact that it's pretty much pointlessly square. Can I ask what the point of the trade was?You don't have a personal preference? Either one is great, but having the

  16. If TRich had his output in his first week with Indy, most of the people in here would be saying 'lol looked like ####, lucky that his team put in the position to get a cheap TD to make his fantasy output it look quasi-respectable.' C'mon man, he went for 36 yards from 18 carries...
  17. As terrible as he's looked, I think Indy have used him pretty 'poorly' in regards to trying to get a lot of production out of him. They don't give him a chance to get into any rhythm whatsoever. They're a passing team, so obviously form their perspective it makes sense, but from a fantasy POV, you can't expect much until they show they're committed to actually using him. Part of that, of course, is him demanding to be used.
  18. 13 catches for only 78 yards is a terrible result for the Pats. Shouldn't have skipped out on Welker's bill.
  19. I suppose the weakness in that comparison comes firstly in the difference of not only the league nowadays to Eli's early years (Hardly a huge variation) and the fact that Eli has always played in New York's weather condition compared to Tampa's (Which obviously lends itself to better passing statistics towards the end of the year). Unless it was a ploy put forward by Freeman, I can't see him even wanting to come back for Schiano. I didn't like the guy when drafted as a future prospect, but for everything the team gives him in one hand, they take away with the other.
  20. This is wrong in so many ways! Why was he a FA do people in that league not have insight? Also, what 13 players were better then him/his upside in this draft? A couple of suggestions... 1) Free Agency in this league stopped come the end of playoffs until the draft, so it's not like you can follow the offseason news to a tee. 2) Coupled that with short rosters, in which the RB4 for the Saints, RFA and continually injured is directly inhibitive to success due to the lack of available depth. Either way, probably shouldn't have gone 2.02, but it's a PPR with maybe a few other quirks, so sometimes
  21. @RapSheet Precise terms of Chris Ivory's 3-year Jets deal isn't known. I'm told it's starter money. Maybe in the $3M range. We'll see thoRumoured: 10mil-ish over 3 years.
  22. Looking purely at the first three rounds... 1.01 Austin1.02 Lacy1.03/4 Bernard1.04/3 Patterson1.05 Bell1.06 Hopkins1.07 Ball1.08 Allen1.09 Wheaton1.10 Ertz1.11 Hunter1.12 Eifert ??? I'm actually loving 1.05-1.10 value, going into the second with plenty of decent players still there. Currently have the 1.06 in my main league and though I would love one of the top 4, I'm not complaining too much if things fall the way they do.
  23. They sent the 4th, I don't think they have a choice but to give him the carries now
  24. Anyone gather anything of interest in the first round today? Feeling a lot more confident about taking Patterson now for some reason than I was a few days ago if it comes to that. Geno looking Clausen-esque if teams weren't even willing to move up for that extra year contract. Austin firmed as my 1.01 in all likelihood.
  25. Depending on their team layout, surprised by Gore a bit. Richardson is sorta similar, but his value is even more in limbo until after the next few days. Williams and BJGE, not really surprising.
