  1. Dwight: I'm now going to read out loud your submitted medical conditions. When you hear yours read, please raise your hand to indicate that it is real. If you do not raise your hand, it will not be covered. Stanley: What about confidentiality? Dwight: You know what? You have forfeited that privilege. I have tried to treat you all as adults, but obviously, I am the only adult here. Number one, inverted penis. Meredith: Could you mean vagina? Because if you do, I want that covered. Dwight: I thought your vagina was removed during your hysterectomy? Meredith: A uterus is different from a vagina. I still have a vagina.
  2. We're already down 43.75% of the starting entries. Compare that to the last couple years where we didn't have a cut week one and then only knocked off 20% or so week 2. Lot of people out earlier than they are used to. It would be interesting to see if the person who wins would have under the old cut rules. We're feeling the 25% sting, but the numbers towards the end of the contest are less. There was a 50% cut to get into the playoffs (from 500 to 250) if I remember correctly.
  3. Still alive, but through 2 weeks I've gotten 8 more points from my kicker (Carlson) than from all of my counting RBs. In fact, I've gotten .7 more from my kicker than the combined points of all 6 RBs I chose. (J Rob, Mostert, R. Jones, Edwards, Michel, Stevenson) Not a positive sign.
  4. 215.8 today, first time since the beginning that I've had an up week. -.5 pounds from last week, 60.2 overall. Diet has backslid. Been working from home 50% of the time and it's much tougher to make it until 5 PM when I'm home. My wife has also slipped a bit, so there have been a couple more nights of microwave popcorn. Goal for the end of the month is 215, so still on track. I desperately need to up the amount of exercise I'm getting as well. Again, it's easier at work. I can take 20 minutes and go for a walk to touch base with guys on the floor. At home, I'm incommunicado if I leave the computer for 20 minutes. Excuses, excuses...
  5. If I’m willing to drop 200 on a bottle, pretty easy to get how some one making 100X what I make would drop 100X on a bottle.
  6. “Mommy, there is something in here. Come in here and see. Look there is something in there. I don’t want it in there.” My three year old learning about pulling back his own foreskin.
  7. Eating nuts on keto? Whenever I just try to watch what I eat I fall into the "nuts are healthy" trap. Sure, for someone who can eat 12 cashews nuts are good, but I can pound 1200 calories of pistachios and then go eat dinner. Grats on getting out of the 44s. I think that clothing not fitting and/or getting back into clothes that haven't fit in a while is one of the greatest rewards (besides that health stuff and being around for the kids)
  8. 215.3 today. 2.8 pounds last week. 60.7 overall. Had an anniversary dinner with my wife and she posted a couple of photos. Family friend reached out to make sure I wasn’t sick.
  9. Peter O'Neill My wife lived with his sister while we were still dating. He grew up in the Amityville Horror house. Was his first day starting a new job at his uncle's company. His uncle didn't go into work that day. So many stories cut too short.
  10. Deep Dive into Stupid rejecting germ theory
  11. These types of charts should be plastered on the front page of newspapers the same way cigarette labels come with warnings: https://imgur.com/gallery/z5pSVKl
  12. League I have won twice in a row, so was willing to mess around: Kelce, Mahomes, Swift, Gus Bus, Davis, Aiyuk, Shenault. 8 teams make the playoffs, so just need a hot three weeks from the Chiefs duo.
  13. Michael K Williams Omar from The Wire, amongst other things. Playing a homosexual gangster was a powerful statement 20 years ago.
  14. 218.1 today. .3 of a pound last week, 57.9 overall. Was at 215.6 yesterday, but que sera sera.
  15. I have a 5, 3 and 2 year old. Wife and I just had our first date in more than a year. It was at kindergarten orientation. We had to fly my mother-in-law in to watch the other two while the 5yo rode the bus for 20 minutes. It was glorious. If you'd like to borrow them for a few hours just let me know.
  16. Wilson and Hill, 2 QB league Wilson should go before Barkley.
  17. 100 shares of Congreve's Inflammable Powders @ open tomorrow.
  18. The "good" thing to come out of our parents is that our generation (X / Old Millenials) have driven the divorce rate down and have taken the lessons taught to us by our parents to heart. Meanwhile, our folks continue to leave at the most minor of inconveniences: I'm not sure I'll do a good job with my kids, but the biggest goal in my life is to be a better parent than I had.
  19. Never like to see a guy get hurt, but without Jones on the team and Funk as RB 3, it really feels like a two man split. Akers/Henderson/Brown had 384 carries, 71 targets and 50 receptions. If Henderson/Michel split 350 carries and 50 catches, Henderson ending up with 160 carries and 40 catches is right in line with 13 touches per game. 75 yards and .5 TD (Rams RBs accounted for 14 last year and Goff ran in 4) seems to be a decent/good flex option (1200 total yards / 8 TDs).
  20. Hoping to have made it through my draft without any of my drafted players getting cut. Mark Ingram is my biggest concern.
  21. 218.4 today. 1 pound last week. 57.6 overall. Goal is to lose 5 pounds a month between now and the New Year. Start 2022 in Onederland.
  22. 2QB, 12 Team, no-PPR, Keep 6 (lose round selected), start 2QB/2RB/3WR/1FLEX: QB: Brady, Stafford, Z Wilson, M Jones RB: Henry, A Jones, Henderson, Conner, Gainwell, T Jones Jr, M Ingram WR: McLaurin, K Allen, J Jones, R Moore, E Moore, Gab Davis, AR St Brown, Quez Watkins, Sterling Shepard, Van Jefferson K: Tucker
  23. Reading this thread though, there's a lot of us in the exact same situation. Having this conversation is tough, because we don't want to lose the relationship that exists pushing for more. By having this conversation, you're drawing a line in the sand that the relationship as it exists cannot continue. As several people have stated, the conversation can lead to even less interaction and fulfillment. My wife and I have had the same conversation regarding my father. He and my mom split up when I was two, he remarried a woman that he was counseling and had two more kids with her. I saw him every other weekend. New woman left him after 20 years and he remarried in 2012 to his third wife who had three daughters. I was living six hours away at the time and he got wrapped up in her kids and their life. My wife and I (and our three kids) moved back at the end of 2019, currently about 40 minutes away. There will be birthday parties at his house, they will take her grandkids to do activities and will watch her grandkids when the parents go away. They have never offered to watch mine. We're flying my mother-in-law up to give my wife a hand while I am out of town over Labor Day weekend. While it does get under my skin, I'm really trying to just accept the relationship for what it is. If I invite them over, they'll generally come. If we invite ourselves over to their house, they're generally OK with us coming by. At the same time, when we get together and the first thing my dad does is tell stories of the outings they had with her grandkids...man I get heated.
