  1. This guy couldn't ask for a bigger break, pardon the pun. McCown goes down for the year right after he's demoted to 3rd string. What are the odds? I guess we just might see him get a shot again.
  2. Listening to NFL radio the past few days it seems Clev isn't really that upset with the video and his partying. They are very upset in his lies and attempts to cover it up. The trust is broken. I don't think it's coming back.
  3. He's clearly just trying to fish for responses. Just let him fad away.
  4. Pretty sure the 3-4 complimentary remarks all contained caveats. He's good when he has time, and and with this o-line that has been rare. I am pretty sure just about every QB in the league is better statically when they have time to throw the ball. Once again it's about what the QB can do or get out of the offense when things are not going well. Cam Newton has elevated his game this year with a patch work receiving core. Do you ever see Stafford taking that step up? His production relies way too much on others performing well. No QB plays well behind terrible olines. Car has actually prote
  5. He has moments of terrible lapses, but when he's not getting slammed to the ground every other snap, yeah he's been pretty good.
  6. Man, when Det is capable of actually protecting Stafford he looks like an All Pro QB. It's a sham they do it so rarely. The turn around of this team after the OC change is pretty amazing. Caldwell was a dead man walking. Now, he's almost assured to be back next year.
  7. I've said for a long time that I'm not a JFF fan, of his game that is. I never felt it would translate to the NFL very well. That said, he does have some skills that could help him get there. He has a good NFL arm and can make all the throws. He also has a certain magic when the play breaks down, which is surprising given his actual athletic measurables. He's just never learned to play from within the pocket or an NFL scheme and he allows his backyard style to become unleashed far too often and early. In a sad kind of way, it's like he plays in a way similar to his media persona, without disci
  8. No, he is just playing better. So you dont hear about his lawsuit that much and the media has no reason to attack him like JFF yet. Basically this says you judge a guy based off the news. You can't be serious.
  9. You know you have completely and totally lost the argument when you trot this out No, its stating the obvious. I'm not caring about winning an argument, I do not care about that sort of thing or vilifying a kid like JFF for being a kid. You do know he is about to be 23, he can drive a car, he can vote, he can legally drink, and he has entered the working world. You do know he is not a kid anymore, right? What were you doing at 22? Peoples expectations of people who play a violent game for our amusement is amazing. You mean like the expectations of the Clev coaches, personal and owner? He'

I'm not caring about winning an argument, I do not care about that sort of thing or vilifying a kid like JFF for being a kid. He is not a kid.He is a qb that was drafted in the first round. Once you start thinking of him like that work backwards then it all makes sense. How mature were you at 21? Acting as if being in the NFL means you are mature means you have not seen the same NFL as I over the past few years. First, hes 23. Second, just because there are other numb sculls doin
  11. I don't know what you're talking about. I've already said it is largely about talent. I believe I said it was a primary reason. I also said talent wins 99.99% of the time. You don't seem to be reading what I'm typing...Why does some fictional scenario of JF passing for 300/3 a game matter here? He's not and he's not shown to be a good NFL QB. Pretty much everyone agrees that IF he was a good QB this isn't likely happening. He not a good QB and he keeps screwing up. Oh and I'm sure this behavior would still be a problem for Clev if he was good. It just wouldn't be enough to warrant this same r
  12. Clev currently has the #1 pick so it's hard to imagin they aren't going to be picking a franchise QB this coming April. I think all this final game stretch was really doing was looking to confirm if JF was or was not that guy. They probably feel they got the answer without having to let it play out.
  13. No one knows what JFF is really capable of. I dont like the kid that much either, but to lose your starting gig for singing and dancing is, I dont what to say. Its truly amazing what people care about. If you think he's losing his starting gig for singing and dancing, I don't know what to say. This.
  14. Again, this is about showing respect for your employer and being a professional. If your boss gave you an ultimatum to lay low over the holiday, you damn better comply if you care about your job. Johnny doesn't give a crap about what you or I or Mary Kay Cabot think, which is fine, and maybe commendable, but he doesn't give a crap what the Browns think either. He's done nothing to suggest he'll care what any other team thinks should he get picked up. What about his employer showing JFF some respect and let him live his life a little bit? The Browns need to worry about trying to get wins, not b

  16. OK, in the NFL talent wins 99.99% of the time. We've seen this with a slew of other guys. Plus, you don't know that talent is the ONLY reason for this. There is likely a lo of things going on behind the scene that aren't public. I'm sure talent is a primary reason.

  18. If this class gives us nothing but Gurley and Cooper we all win. They are studs, rare finds.
  19. He's been a bit up and down. PFF has him graded at 12th out of 111 NFL CBs overall for the season. Not exactly shutdown corner yet but he's good. This reminds me of when we had Dre Bly. I'd be taking a close look at the WR2 of any Lions opponent. That's the guy who will be seeing a ton of targets ROS. Wonder where he ranks last 4 weeks. I'd imagine top 5.
  20. Slay has been playing extremely well the last few weeks. Not sure what happened cause he was burned a lot early on.
