Played Telestrations at Christmas.... tons of fun.

New twist on Pictionary that brings in elements of the kids game “telephone”. Keeps everyone involved all game and usually results in a lot of laughs. Replay ability is high as well..

Is Telestrations fun with all adults and no kids?

ADT is a giant rip-off if you just need monitoring and have a functional system.

Alarmrelay.com - $8.95/mos for monitoring.  Been using them for years.  One of the few companies I've never had an issue with.  Started with them in 2011 in the same circumstance as you.  Bought a house with a system, needed just monitoring - price was $7.99/mos then, so $1 increase in 8 years.  Always responded to alarms ASAP - great customer service, easy vacation notices or adjustments to the calling order on the account.

The ONLY drawback is if you need troubleshooting on your system, you have to figure it out on your own or pay them more.  I've needed no trouble-shooting in the time I've had them - and I've saved enough to buy a new system if I ever wanted to vs. what I'd pay with ADT.

ETA - if you decide to go with them, let me know.  I'll send you my user info and we'll both get referral credits.

You need a working phone line to use them, correct?

  3. Contra needs to be on this list somewhere near 1.1. Basically all of it. It's only playable with the cheat codes.

Ghosts and goblins gets honorable mention.

I never understood this. Contra is one of the easiest games ever. After awhile I could run through it multiple times without dying as a kid. Only the Hanger was semi-tough, and only at first.

I'm calling BS here.. major BS
I never got to that point myself, but I beat it several times without the cheat codes.

I need about 100 lives to beat that game.

I have it on my hacked Wii and played it a few times... generally i need 2-3 continues.

of course, i lack a lot of the patience required.

that's the thing.. a lot of those games required patience

How dou hack a wii and how do u get the games on there?

coolest thing i've ever done hack wise....

it's not easy, but you can do it.

Then you get the proper emulators and can play the games from sites like cool Roms.

You can do the same things on your android tablets or smart phones with apps that do the same thing.

You can emulate PS1 games, SNES games, NES games... tons of fun!

After googling, I found Letterbomb. Does this look like the same thing? Letterbomb Hack Looks much easier

  5. Is 600 hz refresh on Plasmas good enough, or do I need to go higher (thinking 50"). I'm thinking Plasma because they are so much cheaper than LCD now, is there a reason for that?

I don't understand the question. ALL plasmas have 600Hz refresh rates, and yes it is by far better than anything an LCD/LED can offer. Though I doubt you are able to notice a difference between a 240Hz LED and a 600Hz plasma.
I had barely looked into plasmas, so wasn't sure 600 hz was it. And I've never seen LCD over 120 so good to know. Just wondering why 50" plasmas seem to be 700-800 and LCDs in that size often run over 1,000
