  1. 7 targets today but only 2 catches. Hurts bad passes or Smith bad hands today?
  2. You think after they beat a police officer with a flag pole, injured about 100 other officers, broke windows they were just going to have a friendly discussion when they confronted the politicians inside….that sounds like a reach to me.
  3. Not much of a reach to think they could have killed Pence, Pelosi or others if they had got to them before they were evacuated but I guess that would have no big deal as long as they didn’t overthrow the government?
  4. I don’t know…..if they had gotten by the past few Capital police Senators Grassley and Leahy wouldn’t have taken that flag pole and wrapped it around their necks like a pretzel. They should know that if you are going to attack those rough and tough Senators you better come with some real weapons!
  5. Maybe you could give me a list of this country’s leaders who were rushed to safety in hidden passageways by secret service and law enforcement at federal buildings during the BLM riots…you know just to save time.
  6. And yet somehow they still got in the Capital didn’t they? And I injured over 100 police officers in the process and got within what 50-100 feet of VP Pence. And as Congress people took cover in order to protect guns were held at the door of Senate(? )chambers to keep them from getting in.
  7. Because it wasn’t an attempt to stop a a important constitutional process of a peaceful transfer of power that is at the top of the heap when it comes to nations that are not banana republics. It separates us from so many others. We have many Federal buildings across this nation but only one place house our federal legislative process and our elected leaders that legislate.
  8. Now only if you would stop making comparisons to riots that resulted in a great deal of damage to property to the physical act of violence and attack on one our nation’s most important fundamental constitutional processes that would be grand. You are worse than a broken record making the same moot point over and over again. And btw what happened on 1/6 and what happened last summer is not measured by a degree of financial damage either, rather it was what they were actually trying to do.
  9. Scrolling through some things I recorded on January 6 I think many of you forget how even many Republican Congressman were in a state of shock and numbed at the events of January 6. I would love it if some of you would take time and watch videos of some of their responses. Here are a few reminders of what some of them said on J6 and the following days. I think many of them would have stuck with their comments if not for the callousness of their constituents. Sen Langford.. Today is a sad day for our country. The destruction and violence at our nation’s Capitol is an assault on democracy. We thank the men and women of the US Capitol Police for working to restore peace. The actions at the Capitol are indefensible and not supported by the vast majority of Trump supporters. We must rise above the violence. “We must, and we will, have a peaceful and orderly transition of power. The violent actions of these rioters severely damages efforts to restore confidence in our elections. Sen McConnell….”The mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people,” McConnell said. Leader Kevin McCarthy says the President Trump "bears responsibility" for the January 6 attack on the Capitol and says he should have done something to stop it when he saw what was unfolding.” South Dakota Sen. John Thune called the actions of rioters who stormed the capitol Wednesday "thuggery" and condemned the pro-Trump protesters who turned violent. I could find more but you get the idea. Sweeping this under rug like Republicans have been for months now is inexcusable.
  10. Something I was curious about. Apparently mandates from a US President opposed to state mandates via legislative actions from the states is a big deal. All 50 states have vaccine requirements https://www.ncsl.org/research/health/state-vaccination-policies-requirements-and-exemptions-for-entering-school.aspx
  11. https://www.businessinsider.com/psaki-defends-mark-milley-says-gop-was-silent-as-trump-fomented-an-insurrection-2021-9 I would also add that I am disappointed in Col Vindman over his statements on this issue.
  12. I share your pausing here to condemn Milley. If one is to believe that President Trump was acting like an unhinged lunatic ( I tend to believe he was and is) and concerns he had people around him that were in positions of power as safe guards to make sure that big red button isn’t pushed and at the same time would do whatever he asked , I kind of appreciate what Milley did.
  13. Not only education but Americans no longer watch the news. Sure it can be biased but in the end you have no clue what’s going on.
  14. I saw a post after the election that was shared by many that stated something to the effect “81 million of us just wanted a President who wasn’t a jerk”
  15. I found by owning Coleman in the past that getting anything reliable out of the 49ers backfield is about as bad as expecting consistency out of a Patriot back.
  16. Not many will disagree with criticism of Pres Bush over Iraq and to a lesser extent Afghanistan but that was a grand speech this last weekend and I fully agree with his words calling the 1/6 participants and the 9/11 terrorists “ children of the same foul spirit.”. Too much of the GOP is made up of those same children of the same foul spirit hence we have the likes of the Marjorie Taylor Greens and Jim Jordans lurking the halls of Congress.
  17. I am not liking taking him as a WR 1 @ the end of round 4
  18. Also the odds are a zillion to one that if they attempt to break into the capital building or beat up a police officer with a US flag that President Biden isn't going to say "we love you and understand but you've got to go home"
  19. In an attempt to save their party. But unfortunately for the GOP you are probably right. Christie probably thinks it’s better just to get paid to appear on shows like “This week with George Stephanopoulis” giving bold accurate analysis.
  20. , Benjamin Franklin was asked what kind of government do we have? "A Republic," he replied, "if you can keep it." Today we remember those sad tragic events that occurred 20 years ago. Our country became and was so united and worked together to best deal with those foreign terrorists attacks. IMO our Republic is more threatened by our division and by those who don’t recognize what a threat questioning our election results without evidence is as well the threat J6 was than it was on Sept 11, 2001.
  21. No change. Unrelated topics that liberals are trying to make comparisons to.
