  1. Carr is going to be a top 5 fantasy QB this year. Ruggs is going to shine and take the top off defenses with his speed. Edwards and John Brown are the perfect compliments to Ruggs' speed. And all 3 of these guys makes Waller a nightmare to cover in the middle of the field. Oh, and Drake is going to catch 75-80 balls this year as well. The defense is going to be much improved but not great yet, meaning Vegas will still have to play catchup in the 4th quarter a lot this year meaning lots of passing. Put it all together and Carr is going to be the man this year, at a fraction of the price people will pay for Mahomes or Allen or Jackson. Positive waves baby
  2. I remember watching him last season and being impressed. I like this kid and think he has a chance to be a solid player.
  3. Raiders play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. Now that is going to be drunken turkeytastic! 🍺
  4. Like most, I like the player, just not at 17. I can't help but wonder why they wouldn't have moved back a few spots, get a few extra picks and still get the player they wanted. However, you need to have a partner to trade with and I can only surmise that there were no takers to do so in the range we wanted. In the end, my problem with the pick is I simply don't believe he would have been gone at #48 when the Raiders pick next. That said, why not pick up a solid, strong, can't miss player, even along the OL in Darishaw, and then grab your guy at 48. I would have gone D at 17 and felt pretty secure believing Leatherwood would be there at 48. I'm guessing they couldn't find a trade partner, they didn't grade Darishaw as high as everyone else and really, really liked Leatherwood....hence the pick. If the Raiders didn't have a history on reaching for picks and having, let's just say questionable results, I would be ok with this pick and trust our guys. The problem is, their history is their history and by reaching now, it's just horrible optics. And we don't need anymore horrible optics. We needed a safe and sound, strong pick at 17. I still like the LB kid from ND and would have been happy with Kitty Paye. If nothing else, their motors and energy would be a breath of fresh air for our defense. Anyway, done is done and we can't put the #### back in the horse so i'm going to stay positive and hope the rest of the draft goes well for us.
  5. Parsons is a monster and would be an instant injection of life into our defense. A lot of people like us taking OL at 17 and many really love the kid from Notre Dame, Koramoah. To me, if Parsons is there at 17 we'd be crazy not to take him.
  6. I saw one mock draft that has Parsons falling to us. I think I would spontaneously combust if that happens!
  7. If Miami lands either Pitts or Chase, do we think Tua can be a #1 fantasy QB this year?
  8. I really liked Darnold coming out of college. Between his getting mono and the ####show that is the NYJ, he never really had a chance in NY. I think he is going to be a very good QB. He can make all the throws and has a very good attitude. I'm pulling for the kid. I think Panther fans are going to be happy as he develops.
  9. I'm hoping Ruggs can be that guy. He looked very good in the limited action he saw before he first got hurt. With him taking the top off defenses, guys like Renfrow and Brown can have a field day in the middle of the field, which makes matching up with Waller even more difficult. Fingers crossed
  10. I was able to grab Tunyan and was planning on starting him this week over Henry. If Allen and/or Williams are out, I may make a last minute change. Herbert seems locked in on Allen inside the 10 yard line.
  11. Hi all. I hope everyone is safe and sound. I drafted Ryan to be my guy this year and went out and traded for Jones mid year and have had delusions of grandeur ever since. Anyway, I'm fortunate enough to be in my division championship game this week. It looks like Jones isn't playing and I'm faced with the dilemma as to whether to start Ryan or not. I drafted Carr as my backup and he has been impressive for fantasy purposes, just not consistent for my taste. I know it's a thinly veiled who do I start question but how does the shark pool feel about Ryan this week without Jones (assuming he doesn't go). Unfortunately, Carr goes tomorrow night so I obviously have to decide asap. My gut is telling me to go with Carr since I don't like the look of the Atlanta offense without Jones. And Ryan hasn't been great since like week 6. I just know my luck, I'll roll with Carr, he'll lay a fantasy egg on Thursday night and then Ryan will light it up. Constructive thoughts and opinions appreciated. Thanks.
  12. I'm a big karma guy and don't ever wish for bad things for anyone. That said, it wouldn't make me sad if he tripped on the stairs getting off the plane and he suffered non-life threatening but painful, season ending injuries. Freaking bozo. Raiders signed him when nobody else would touch him. Gave him a ton of dough to be our guy. Look how he treated us. Guy was a clown from the frozen feet to the helmet thing and his verbally and physically assaulting the owner. Karma is a fickle ##### and I can't help but hope that she pays a visit to Brown and the Bucs. But I'm not bitter.
  13. The game got moved off sunday night to ensure there is a game sunday night. With Vegas sending its entire O line home I guess they feel there is a decent chance the game will have to be moved to another week. Gotta give the fans a Sunday night game. This ensures it....baring a covid outbreak in Seattle or Arozona
  14. It looks like we will probably face the Saints without Michael Thomas.
  15. Any updates on Godwin? I get nervous with any head injury and the concussion protocol. I haven't heard a word since the game. Not sure if that's good or bad.
  16. Hey Doc. I feel your frustration but let me just say, don't be so quick to judge or give up on Ferrell. Kid was a rookie and not everyone comes out of the gate and lights the world on fire. He looked much, much better the second half of the year and I think he still has a very good chance to be an excellent player and a good fit for our defense. Also, let's not forget we get a healthy (hopefully) Abrams back this year. People are writing him off as a bust based on last year too. If healtnhy, both of those guys can really pay dividends for us. Try and stay positive brother, we needed a CB at 19 and took the guy they liked best
  17. First, I was on record saying that I liked Jeudy or Lamb at 12 more than Ruggs. But I've come to learn that Ruggs is and was always the guy Gruden coveted at 12. They liked the other guys, but Ruggs was their pick. The more I think about it, I'm coming around on it. Comparing him to a guy like Tyreek...how can you not be excited. With Williams on the outside and Waller and Mourneau roaming the middle of the field, I like the look of our offense. Anyway, Ruggs was their boy so I'm taking the leap of faith and staying positive. As for 19, I have also been told that without a second round pick, there was a total dearth of trade partners. And it was clear that Elway loved Ruggs so we didn't have much room to trade down if we still wanted our guy in Ruggs. Anyway, with no trade partners at 19, we went need. Did we reach for Arnette, yes, but maybe not as much as people think. Fingers crossed.
  18. No, this is all just my feeling. Social distancing and restrictions on accessibility to the facilities really interfere with getting inside information. He did tell me a while ago that there is no fear whatsoever that the stadium will be ready for the start of the season. And this was before we started talking about a possible delay in starting the season. I can't wait to see the new stadium!
  19. Great analysis in here guys. Solid work. For me, the Raiders still have lots of holes to fill, but the glaring need is still a #1 Wr. We get that, and every other receiver/TE on the squad gets that much better. I know the WR class is deep, very deep this year. However, if either Jeudy or Lamb are available at 12 I think we would be crazy not to take him. Either can be the instant number one we need that can really make a difference right away. And we still have plenty of other picks to tinker with the rest of the needs. I'd also probably add Ruggs to the list as well. After that, and if none of these 3 guys are their, I would have no problem trading down or whatever. Mayock and Gruden are clearly not conventional and certainly have surprised us in the past. However, I think it is agreed that a solid WR is the top of our need list and Jeudy or Lamb fit perfectly if available. Probably Ruggs as well. I think we're more likely to see something crazy at 19 if we get our wish at 12. Just my two cents.
  20. I hope it plays like you map it out. This means the Raiders get either Lamb or Jeudy at 12. That would make me happy.
  21. The Raiders just declined the option to play in Oakland for 2020 so I don't think this is going to be an issue.
  22. I get it and I understand the world we live in. But the dude had none of the main initial symptoms. strange
