  1. Thanks. I thought Shan and Ricard opened it and then put it back after rewrapping it. I thought it was still in the tree when they were at the challenge.
  2. After the 3 phrases were mentioned at the challenge, Genie should have ran back to the camp and secured the idol. Possession is 9/10 of the law? Or quickly after they realized it would be her tribe at TC that night. In retrospect, it seems that Xander should have just held the 3-way idol and waited for the 2 other phrases to be uttered first so that once he said his line, the idol would be in play. He still would have lost his votes prior to that but his tribe wouldn't have to know he had an idol coming. Or maybe I'm missing something. Genie's parting line was good. "Man I actually hope it rains on them tonight... ain't nobody going to attend that fire."
  3. Genie would have been better off playing this game 8-10 years ago. Hard working, nice to others, loyal to anyone who asks, and trusts everyone. She got absolutely dismantled in the outwit category. Her thinking that she was tight with both Shan and Ricard is tragic, especially her thinking that running to tell them both that she found the idol. How naïve can one player be? Then she gets to TC and does the woe is me speech about being on the bottom. Hey Genius, you basically handed them the only thing that could have saved you at that TC. Speaking of which, we shouldn't underestimate how colossally dumb that whole scene went. She finds the idol, great. But then commits a cardinal sin by running to tell her adversaries, whom, we must assume, she believes she is in an alliance with. How can all 3 be in an alliance when there are only 3 in the tribe? Someone's got to go. Then, she let's them talk her out of opening it... to leave it alone. And she agrees Then they trick her into going along with Shan uttering the phrase at the challenge, you know, just to see if the other 2 are in play. Then Shan tells her friend at the hilltop that she has the idol. I suppose it is hers not because she found it, but because she uttered the phrase... is that correct? Just so so dumb. Then Shan wants to keep that idol and also have Richard give her back the extra vote. He was smart to keep that. He should have told her, ok, here's the extra vote but give me the idol. Fair is fair. Shan is smart and if she continues to get away with manipulating everyone, she deserves the win. I hope she's out before the merge. I don't know who is the worst player, JD or Genie.
  4. "I just want back what is rightfully mine." "You mean you want me to give you the item you tricked JD into giving you, twice? But now somehow I have it, wouldn't that make it mine? I mean, it's all part of the game, right?"
  5. 10/24 - @ Giants (never seem to play well there but could win) 10/31 - @ Falcons 11/7 - Patriots 11/14 - @ Cardinals 11/21 - Washington 11/28 - @ Dolphins 12/12 - Falcons 12/19 - @ Bills 12/26 - Bucs 1/2 - @ Saints 1/9 - @ Bucs Will split with the Falcons, find a way to lose to the Pats and Washington. Lose at Cards, toss up with Dolphins. Lose at Bills and both games against the Bucs and lose at the Saints. Might see 2 wins. 5-12 or 6-11 finish.
  6. 6.5. I think they'll shut him down the week they realize the playoffs are out of reach. If he's 100% healthy he'll play on but any slight nagging injury will sideline him for just for precaution alone. Rhule is building for the future and is not on the hot seat to win right now. Risking Christian this year is not in his best interest. He also knows the mileage already saddled to CMC and his legs.
  7. Yeah there were a lot of dropped passes. I'm not saying bail on Darnold right now or at the end of his first year. Just saying, and I agree with you, that if there were an opportunity to get a franchise QB I say go for it. It won't happen (more like my wishful thinking) but if a cleared D. Watson was this team's QB, they'd be instant contenders in the NFC. We need OL help but he's used to playing with a subpar OL. I feel like Darnold would be an excellent backup QB. Just don't see him leading a team to the SB.
  8. 3-0 to 3-3. Lots of dropped passes but Sam was bad this week. Turnovers are killer. Does he have command of the huddle? Anderson looked like he didn't want to be out there. DJ didn't seem focused. Darnold reminds me a little of Derek Carr. He frustrates his fanbase for much of the game and then makes a few plays that make people think that, maybe... maybe we have something here that can grow into an offense that can compete against anyone. A rollercoaster ride with a talented but limited QB who, unfortunately, seems to repeat poor decisions. Before you know it, you are 5 years into the ride and still haven't won a playoff game.
  9. JD is an idiot but I don't like how Shan manipulated him, for the second time. She uses the guilt trip and he just hands over his advantage, for the second time. He's a kid and wants her to like him but he claims to be the ultimate survivor fan and knows the game better than everyone and so on. Classic manipulation and she just used him as well as anyone has been used on that show before. Would like to think that Jedi mind BS wouldn't work on some of the older players. Good on her, I guess.
  10. That is great. Even looks Robin. Movie in the making?
  11. Panthers tried to sign Jaylon Smith before he signed with Packers Would have been a good addition and another indication the front office wants to win now. It would be nice if we looked at the offensive side of the ball at, say, offensive line. Trade deadline approaching, wonder if a move is made. Wanting to win now is great but not sure we can win now with Sam Darnold. Upgrading the OL to help protect is a step in the right direction but can he lead the team through a playoff run? Not sure. Wonder if Tepper still has any feelings to go after Watson.
  12. Didn't get any daily doubles and missed FJ. Surely that was a first for him. Look forward to seeing him back in tourney of champions.
  13. Tough game to watch there. Did someone switch our Sam with the one that played in NY? Someone must've told Darnold to start throwing to Robby Anderson after weeks of chemistry with DJ. So now he's trying to force the ball to Anderson. Though Robby should have had that first down catch. When you're playing a running/mobile QB, someone might need to account for him on the zone read. Should not have lost that game. I imagine Sam's honeymoon is over... 5 picks in last 2 games.
  14. Alliances doesn't mean anything anymore when it comes to sharing information. You just can't because everyone wants to play multiple angles with multiple alliances. Then they get mad/emotional when you don't tell them everything that's going on. They make you feel bad because you haven't disclosed your entire game to them. Then when you do disclose, she goes and tells everyone else. "I lost your trust, shame on you... so cave and tell me so I can go to other people and let them know too." Darned if you do, darned if you don't.
  15. I like the twists in the new game play but are they going too far with all the lose-a-vote/steal-a-vote stuff? You can steal a vote but only if you can vote yourself... you have an idol but can't use it until two other people find the same clue, and also, until that time, you can't vote at TC. Seems to be handcuffing players and making TC less dramatic. Brad was essentially screwed since he couldn't vote, even though he supposedly had 2 advantages. He couldn't vote because of one situation, but why couldn't he still use his steal-a-vote?
  16. Cheap acquisition. Excellent if he can get back on the field and play near his old self. Eligible to return off IR week 7. Veteran help for a solid defense and will help take pressure off of CJ Henderson during his development. I bet the Bucs are mad today. Shows that Tepper, GM and Rhule are actively trying to improve. Welcome home (close to home), Stephon!
  17. Panthers acquire Stephon Gilmore The Panthers traded for the veteran cornerback Wednesday, sending a 2023 sixth-rounder to New England.
  18. Good showing this week. Couple of lapses here and there in decision-making but Darnold played well overall, imo. He's faster than I thought and was able to scramble out of the pocket for first downs effectively. Pass rush caught up with him in the second half. Wasn't Rhule's best game in terms of managing time outs in the second half. Shaq Thompson is playing LB at an elite level right now. Chuba and Freeman played well. DJ is fantastic. 3-1, let's go!
  19. Tiffany's argument that, "but wait, I know he doesn't have an idol but IF he has an idol by some chance then I'm going home! we as a group just can't have that. So, the best move is to axe Voce so that, you know, I can be safe. That's what's important here, girls... that I remain SAFE... because ME ME, ME... me. I'm hungry." I hope they don't swap or merge and that tribe gets dominated out of challenges til no one is left.
  20. If they can motivate and coach up Henderson, it's a good trade. Don't mind losing Arnold, though I like him a lot. Time will tell but if Henderson live up to his pre-draft potential, could turn out great. Tremble's role in the offense just expanded I'm guessing. Darnold, a talented high pick, is now in a better situation and showing signs of why he was drafted in the top 10. Henderson, another talented high pick, is now in a better situation and will, hopefully, start showing signs of why he was drafted in the top 10. Like Darnold, a change of scenery may be just what he needed. And if he does play well, he just adds another nice CB on this defense once Horn returns.
  21. I feel the same way about Sam. He's been very good so far, just not sure he can lead a team through the playoffs. But I'm glad he's on our team right now and if he continues to grow under Brady's system, he has a chance to become a leader that will erase all doubts. Rhule's approach to build the team starting heavily with the defense in the 2019 draft has been successful so far. Hope we can hit on some picks if/when he focuses on the offense... particularly the OL. There's reason for excitement/optimism in Carolina, imo.
