  1. I dunno. I've justified Colt McCoy, Brian Hoyer and even Brandon Weeden in the past five years after they looked good in stretches. This team is just so atrocious it's hard to get a good read or feel good about anything one player is doing. Whoever the new coach/GM is will have their own opinion of Manziel so that's gonna factor in quite a bit toward his future in CLE.
  2. If he goes to Dallas, what's the likely path? Does he go there by way of getting cut and Jerry signing him? Or could the Browns try and get something for him? Ya know, since Jerry's so in love? Probably a 4th rounder at most. Closer to a 6th at this point.
  3. You really think Favre didn't know his reads or didn't put in the work or let his addictions get in the way of what he was doing on the field? It's not a moral thing. John Manziell cannot drink and quarterback. Can't do it. He maybe can do it for a game or two or more but eventually his problem will catch up with him on the field. I guarantee you the Browns know this has been affecting what he does for a living. Gotta think his debut against Cincy last year was a culmination of his attitude, drinking, partying and general lack of commitment to the pro game and what it takes to be successful at
  4. The guy represents the franchise. A quarterback for even a bad team like the Browns is very visible to the public eye and carries a space in the public consciousness. At this point, it should be clear this guy is an addict. He’s not someone like you and I who can go out and have a few drinks every other weekend and go about himself in a regular way the following day. He needs something to crutch onto. It may not even be alcohol, but it is something that is causing some self-destructive behavior in a way that you nor I could even fully understand. That’s why it’s a big deal that he’s ‘singing a
  5. Again, this is about showing respect for your employer and being a professional. If your boss gave you an ultimatum to lay low over the holiday, you damn better comply if you care about your job. Johnny doesn't give a crap about what you or I or Mary Kay Cabot think, which is fine, and maybe commendable, but he doesn't give a crap what the Browns think either. He's done nothing to suggest he'll care what any other team thinks should he get picked up. What about his employer showing JFF some respect and let him live his life a little bit? The Browns need to worry about trying to get wins, not be

  7. Will Burge ‏ @ WillBurge 7m 7 minutes ago Just heard from a # Browns source I havnt spoke to in a loooong time. They reached out to me. Coming out of reporter retirement 4 the day... Will Burge ‏ @ WillBurge 7m 7 minutes ago # Browns source 1/3: Its not the video or what he did, its what he SAID he wouldnt do. They feel he agreed to things before bye he ignored Will Burge ‏ @ WillBurge 7m 7 minutes ago # Browns source 2/3: Support for Manziel at the top is getting "shaky." Feels that if Pettine had it his way Manziel would be cut Will Burge ‏ @ WillBurge 6m 6 minutes ago # Browns source 3/3
  8. Didn't we just see? Are you implying that he's going to do great things NEXT game? How do you envision this working? So far, he hasn't shown anything to prove he's better than back-up material. This "see what they have" stuff has been tried 5-6 times already. Yeah, but you KNOW McCown isn't the long term answer. Manziel, ehhh... If they go back to McCown, then you're still sitting on a "probably not, but maybe" in Manziel a year from now. I personally wouldn't have invested a 1st rounder in the guy, but that horse already left the barn. Might as well see what Maziel can do with all of the
