  1. And now they have this little thing called Star Wars too. Yet, they still have't done the 2 things that I've been wanting the to do. Release the original origina trilogy on DVD/BluRay (no post theater changes by Lucas) and release the Life Day special.
  2. TIFWIW, but in a couple of the stories reporting this, they cite rumors that Marvel might either get the Spider-man rights back from Sony, or own them jointly. Also that Hugh Jackman wants to be part of this story and is encouraging cooperation for the X-Men rights. Marvel is ending the FF and so they might not even figure in the movie storyline. I think because Reed Richards was such a big part of the Civil War it makes sense to try and get them in it though... Not sure how effective a Civil War story will be without all the groups being involved, especially the X-Men and Spider-man. As of r

  4. Spider-woman is an interesting character, I think she would do much better than the Catwoman and Elektra movies. That being said, they've been aiming to release a female lead movie and its most likely going to be black widow... unfortunately. I think Spider-Woman appeals to both male and female audiences, shes a very feminist character and the nature of her powers (can manipulate men/woman using pheromones) and is portrayed as very attractive. I have no idea how this would work though with Sony owning the rights to Spider-Man. Spiderwoman has no relation to Spiderman. And I believe spiderowom
  5. Unless it doesn't. I don't have high hopes for this one. I would love to be wrong though. I didn't have high hopes for Thor, but they pulled that one off. I think Thor is less of a gimmick character really. If we were going second tier, which Ant Man definitely is, I would have rather seen someone like the Black Panther. Do they even need ant-man? I mean arent they having tony stark create Ultron in the next avengers movie? isnt creating ultron the only reason to have Hank pym around? Heck Id rather have Wonder-Man, (even though that dude needs a different name, his name stinks) Grim Reaper/ V

  7. For the movies I believe it does. IIRC Marvel productions (Avengers, Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk etc) are not allowed to say that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the children of Magneto. In fact I don't think they are allowed to refer to mutants at all. They don't need to say anything. They can still be inferred as Magneto's kids. Even if Hydra has them "now". Back when Joss Whedon announced that QS and SW were going to be in the film, he said they can not be referred to as Magneto's children in any way what so ever.
  8. That would be possible now. You got the Avengers plus all the secondary characters like a Iron Fist, Powerman, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, etc. The villians could be the Wrecking Crew, Loki, Kang. The big miss would be Doom though. You ain't getting him. Maybe sub in Red Skull? so Doom & FF are owned by a different movie studio than the avengers? So galactus wouldnt be part of if either, without spiderman & his villians in the mix it wouldnt be as cool either. Yup, F4, Avengers, Spidey and X-men are all different. They could probably get around Galactus somehow. There's a to

  11. I would say this will lose money but that's betting on the intelligence of the American public... It's pretty hard for major movies to actually lose money nowadays. It's not just ticket sales. They have money from promotional deals (i.e. Burger King commercial, characters appearing on Twinkie boxes) , Broadcast rights for PPV and the pay channels (HBO, Showtime) broadcast rights for basic cable (i.e. SciFi, FX) DVD sales, Merchandise sales, and so on.
  12. Dr Strange is one of my favorite Marvel characters. I really hope they don't mess it up, but with their track record and with Cumberbatch attached I am in. Dr. Strange has always struck me as one of those characters that is great in a supporting role. I love it when they bring him into the comics for a quick fix or for a few issue episode arc. I did enjoy the animated Dr. Strange movie that Marvel put out... it was probably their best one. But just like with Guardians of the Galaxy, I feel like they are taking a fairly big risk with this particular product. I'm not sure where Dr. Strange is
  13. What do you want them to do? Send a guy over to your house and program the DVR for you? I don't know, how about "make sure you set your DVR" like I've seen other shows do. But that would be the bare minimum. you can't be this stupid.
