  1. Missed the boat here and ignored stuff I shouldn’t have...kicking myself....he has developed....he was soooooo freakin cheap....dont get me wrong, most weeks he would have been maybe a coin toss at WR3/flex or something and I may not have ever felt like starting him “with confidence” because of NYG/Jones....but he is going to bail out some WR strapped teams....I would have liked to at least play keep away from other owners and had him on my bench instead of other starting lineups....but I missed the boat...
  2. For the record....been confirmed by NFL that it was a penalty...so lets put that part to bed and focus on the real reasons for the loss...
  3. as an official somewhere else on the field you can maybe pass on a DPI....or a defensive holding....or some other things.....but as a line official you are standing right in front of the other teams benches with usually the head coach and several others in your back pocket.....they see exactly what you see down the line....there is no wiggle room to decide whats blatant or not....if dude is in the neutral zone he is in the neutral zone....its not really open for "debate".....its blatant....both sidelines see the same thing....I get you are upset your team lost, but please stop with the "refs took it away" stuff...
  4. I’ll go with the guys who are looking straight down the line and whose sole job on that play is to basically watch that one thing only and that went reaching for their flag immediately and threw it pretty much before the ball was even kicked...and whose job it is to not ref with the mentality of things like “let’s wait and see if it impacts the play” before I throw my flag or not....again this isn’t Lebron shooting a layup....
  5. so it’s debatable....and he could have been offsides....are they supposed to wait and see if he blocks it and then throw the flag....wait and see if it “affects the play”......?....seriously.....this isn’t the nba where you wait to see if the ball goes in or not and then call the foul...c’mon man....you got be better than that...
  6. no changes....thanks for doing all this.....much appreciated...
  7. which of the three times...?...but the answer is the same...no thats not the reason....reports and even Jordan himself revealed that he was leaning towards retiring before his father's passing....he said there were a lot of reasons,....lack of motivation/nothing more to prove......not wanting to play for other coaches cause Phil was in his last year and Scottie and others were leaving, etc..... Simone admitted her issue was the twisties.....something she has had in the past and had to work through....like many gymnasts.....this wasn't something new for her because of her aunt passing away....then the common twisties start being labeled a "mental health" issue....when it is really something all gymnasts have to work through at some point...she had some bad performances and lost confidence and got the twisties at the worst possible time for her...its ok to say you went into a slump and lost confidence....a temporary mental block...all athletes do....little bit of a reach IMO to label it as a mental health issue....if thats the case every gymnast on the planet has mental health issues at some point in their careers....luckily Simone was able to work through her “mental health issues” very quickly and return in time to win a medal...
  8. Sorry for the time out.... I would like Prater with my missed pick please
  9. sorry if this has already been addressed....late to the party....but are you allowed to intentionally take off your helmet now....I thought that was illegal... eta: TB defender before half that missed the int...
  10. STINKIN REF: QB - Tom Brady - 17 QB - Justin Herbert - 16 Brady was a lock, his weapons are off the chain and dude is going to keep pumping up his GOAT stats and I think Arians will let him and love every minute of it. Lots of cheap TD's in red zone when you would think they normally would run. Remember when Favre made a living off of 1 yard TD passes to like Bubba Franks or some crap. Multiply that. LAC coach said they were going to have the best ####### passing game in the league. I drank the kool aid. RB - Najee Harris - 25 RB - Mike Davis - 19 RB - James Robinson - 16 RB - Gus Edwards - 11 RB - Rhamondre Stevenson - 3 RB's only get .50 PPR here, so I went light and wanted more darts at TE since a little above "average" day by a TE might be better then a good day by a RB. My thoughts are this is not the spot my (2) flex spots will score from. Just get me two scores that keep me from being lapped by the field. My last three will be on most teams, so not a lot to say about them. My top two should be in line for the majority of touches run/rec and look to be three down backs with little competition. Had Gio in for the longest time but at only .50 PPR I ended up pulling for more bullets at TE/WR. WR - Jerry Jeudy - 16 WR - Laviska Shenault - 13 WR - Corey Davis - 10 WR - Antonio Brown - 10 WR - Mecole Hardman - 10 WR - Gabriel Davis - 7 WR - Marquez Callaway - 5 WR - Bryan Edwards - 4 WR - Demarcus Robinson - 3 WR - Marquez Valdes-Scantling - 3 WR - DeSean Jackson - 3 Quantity over quality. Live in CO, the Jeudy breakout hype is real. Shenault gets rushing as well as receiving chances to house it. Davis has improved into a pretty good, physical WR, I am actually surprised, but nice to see guys put in the work and get better. This may be the first piece of him I have ever owned, was always down on him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Brown go off. When doing this contest, I always start at the bottom of each position and work my way up, check marking guys I like as I go. And then I make my way through the weeds of the 40 plus names I checked. My mindset here was snag guys that could potentially post a score for you maybe on just one play. The ol' Earl Weaver 3-run homer mentality. Lot of my guys fit that bill. Callaway will be on every team, but was a must add, MVS is maybe the GB WR2 at $3. With (11) bullets should be able to get two scores here and some flex potential. TE - Kyle Pitts - 17 TE - Zach Ertz - 7 TE - Gerald Everett - 7 TE - C.J. Uzomah - 7 TE - Dan Arnold - 4 TE - Albert Okwuegbunam - 3 At 1.5 PPR the plan was to maybe have some flex options here. It's not a sexy group after Pitts, but I like what I have been hearing about the QB/TE relationship in all of these. Albert O may end up being the DEN TE to have. PK - Daniel Carlson - 3 PK - Brandon McManus - 3 PK - Evan McPherson - 2 Three with different byes. TD - Cleveland Browns - 3 TD - Denver Broncos - 3 DST get zero love in this contest. It's only about sacks/turnovers and house calls. House calls are too hard to predict, so I took the cheapest DST's I felt had the best chance at sacks and turnovers with good rushers and secondary's. Total value: 250
  11. TB D no joke.....shuts DAL down for the most part....Dak not in flow yet....Brady and TB offense send an early message score early and often.....easy cover IMO...
  12. btw....wtf is a soccer fantasy league doing invading our freakin territory....this is bull####....
  13. did a little recon and found a cell phone number in the BLC league for ryheaps and sent a text....not sure if it is actually his or not...we will see....
  14. You literally said a few posts earlier it doesn’t matter what number you had Davis ranked because you “weren’t drafting him regardless” ....now it’s no one is a true DND......?....which is it
  15. So why even have him on there at all
  16. PPR....before....somewhere right around Carson, CEH, so around 15.....he is a little higher for me because I'm not a fan of say Swift and a couple others in that area.....and I think Davis is going to see a huge amount of touches rushing and receiving... Today....zero change....the Gallman signing doesn't move the needle for me at all....if anything the guy they cut... Ollison was maybe more of a threat/mystery.....I think his release means ATL is very confident in what they have....Gallman signing was kind of a "nothing to see here" move for me....it could have been just about anybody....Davis probably has an easier time "holding off" Gallman than he might have Ollison or somebody else...so in some ways, it might be a bump for Davis IMO....
  17. I didn't make a GIO analogy....I said the super bowl teams brought in new guys.....just like a lot of teams....I wasn't comparing Gio situation directly to the Gallman situation or making an analogy between the two....simply saying there was a ton of turnover at the RB spot this year and the situation in ATL was no different and not something special...just threw those two teams out as an example...... I kind of already covered the answer to both of your questions in my last post.....both of them really depend on too many league factors to give a blanket answer....especially when it comes to handcuffs...and I can't make a blanket statement that every 5th round pick is worthy of a handcuff....maybe, maybe not....depends on a lot of things like is that your first RB drafted....or your third...?...if it's your first RB drafted, maybe the handcuff becomes more important so you lock up that RB spot "no matter what".....if Davis is your RB3 in the 5th round....you may not feel the need to handcuff him because you already have two others and you might be handcuffing one or both of them and Davis was a luxury pick for you anyway or something because your league allows you to start three RB's or something... for the record I did draft Davis a lot and never handcuffed him....(turned out to be a good call huh) ...I'm sure most times it was around the 5th/6th round..... the answer to #2 also depends on a ton of things....I think most of us would try to claim Gallman.....often for me, many times it would be more of a "keep away from other owners" move then actually thinking I would be making him a plug and play all of a sudden....I would hope my roster wouldn't NEED him that bad.....but if you are hurt by injuries or something.....sure...every roster spot has value though.....something casual FF players don't really care about....so it would really depend on my roster size, and my team makeup....it would depend on what acquiring Gallman would cost me to lose off my roster...
  18. your post called me out on the Gio thing.... and you were wrong about what I said....I know you won't admit it and you will spin it somehow....leaving now so I don't get suspended and out for a week before I finalize my subscriber contest roster.... for the record and good of the thread....I'm not sure where Gallman would rank on the "best handcuff's or backup RB's" to own list...or the "most likely to take over for the current RB1 cause he sucks list"....but right now FBG has about 40 "non starters" ranked above him in PPR.....so when filling out your bench roster I'm not sure he would one of the first priorities or guys that would make your cut, so to speak....unless you own Davis of course....and depending on how deep you rosters are and league set up/scoring etc...if you think Davis sucks and Gallman isn't really that much better than maybe those are just fantasy points you don't chase at all.....and if Davis gets hurt or just truly does suck and somebody beats you to Gallman on the WW so be it....not really missing out on anything anyway....
  19. omg....see now I've started down one of your rabbit holes.....I said the super bowl teams both brought in new guys....I didn't say "new RB2's"....I wasn't labeling Gio....or any of them, you did.....I never called him an RB2....you called him a receiving specialist.....I'm trying to say labels don't really matter....all teams are looking to upgrade the "backup RB's" and what ATL did is nothing new or special.....man I'm starting to see why this has been a struggle for so many..... BAL put in a claim for Freeman but got beat out by CAR......Edwards and McCaffrey better be on notice.....
  20. I'm not going to list all of the moves by other teams in the backup RB area....there have been a TON.....thats the point....acting like ATL's search for an RB2 upgrade is some type of unicorn situation is stupid....it's not necessarily sending a "message" to Davis or some declaration of how they feel about his ability....its something every team does....so saying it like it is proving some point is flawed.... Gio could very well end up with the TB RB1 stats...and touches by seasons end.....not sure that would be a surprise....don't think we should get caught up in labels of "only a receiving specialist or third down back" or whatever necessarily...he can rush as well....but this is for another thread....
