  1. Messi's goal was nice. Doesn't hold a candle though to Thill's stunner
  2. I ran the numbers last night as I couldn't stop thinking about this. Tucker is so good, I'd like him perform a Tommy John surgery on my elbow. He is by far the most incredible kicker I've ever seen. He's hit what, 50 4th quarter and OT field goals in a row? That is just unreal. I'm not sure what the corresponding WAR is for football, but he'd be thrice Mike Trout's prime WAR. If I was building a football franchise, I'd probably go Mahomes 1, Tucker 2. Simply because Mahomes is younger.
  3. @BuffaloSabres “I spoke to Jack two days ago, I spoke to the team yesterday and addressed this, Jack Eichel is no longer the captain of the Buffalo Sabres. From our perspective, the captain is your heartbeat of your team, and we are in a situation where we felt we needed to make that decision.” Also appears he failed his physical and is on injured reserve. This situation has been spinning it's wheels for months now
  4. I know it's a cup game, but United's lineup, oof. And Phil ####### Jones made the bench. His testimonial game right around the corner.
  5. Sevilla game has had 4 pk's awarded in the 1st half ffs RB missed 2, game is 1-1
  6. Daniel James to Leeds looks a done deal. I think he'll be a great fit there, high motor guy for their press all over the pitch.
  7. Juve lost to Empoli today at home. I have plenty of thoughts there but I'll spare you. I am usually the first one to poo poo on MLS, but this LA/LA game was fantastic. Wish they could all be like that one,.
  8. McTominnay just has surgery, so he's out a few weeks/months. And even a blind man can see Matic can't be rolled out there more than once/month or so, right? Maybe we can a Fred/VdB pairing 🙏
  9. He had 29 goals in 33 games year and led Serie A. Year before he had 31 goals in 33 games. I watch a lot of Serie A, and certainly Ronaldo is not the player he used to be, but he will not need to be on United. Pair him with Sancho and Rashford with Bruno and Pogba offering service. He's an impact player for sure (as he had the winner for Juve last game out after coming in as a sub, only to be called off by a fraction). I actually thought he'd fit in perfectly with City as they could sit Sterling. Addition by subtraction. Imagine him getting through balls from KdB? He wouldn't miss the dozen or so sitters Raheem does each year. He'll be well received if nothing else at Old Trafford. United will be plenty hungry for goals all around with the likes of Bruno, CR7, Rashford, Greenwood, Cavani, Sancho (if he ever gets to play). Martial has to be sent out, simply not enough balls to go around. Saw something today which made me chuckle in that VanDijk has more minutes played in the premier league that VanDeBeek. FFS. United spent how much on him again. vomit. Play these ####ers if you're going to bring them in. If they can't cut it, move them, but you'll never know if they never play.
  10. Can't wait to see who takes first pk with Bruno and CR7 on the pitch.
  11. Few interesting tidbits: PSG rejected Real bid for M'Bappe of nearly 200million bucks. Ouch. I'd assume there will be another bid coming,. CR7 is trying to posture for a spot at City if they can't land Kane. Makes a lot of sense if you ask me, as Ronaldo's salary is ridiculous, City will have no issue paying it, but Juve is being stubborn and wants a transfer fee. I really think City gets Kane, but this development is intriguing. A little move that was made that is highly interesting (to me) is Delany moved from Dortmund to Sevilla. Dortmund over the last year plus has lost the likes of Hummels, Sancho, and now Delaney. They brought in Malen, but that's a lot to lose and Haaland will not be there much longer. Delaney was a very important player for them, I think that one is going to sting. Wolfsburg has done a bunch of good business if you ask me in the Bundesliga. Not that they are going to challenge for a title, but top 4 well within reach. I see MLS allstars are playing Liga MX allstars next week? I don't know, but I saw Sambuenza was on the Mexican team, and immediately lost interest. Will need to delve into this a bit more, but Mexican league just started, can't see how they can pick all stars. Of course MLS picked the likes of Lampard and Gerrard and Pirlo I believe before they even played 2 games. Dunno.
  12. Trust me, I'm greedy too, but it's the second game of the season. I'm certainly not close to panicking. Team is the best it's been in many years and I'm cautiously optimistic here. But I mean, if you're going to judge the league in two games, well Chelsea look absolutely unbeatable so may as well pack it in. Dortmund looked unbelievably good in their first game and Haaland on pace to be the first 40/40 player, since then? Lost two straight, looked very pedestrian against BM.
  13. FFS, United dominated the game. Soton scored on a crisp counter and a deflected shot. It happens. Home teams always play better at home, and statistically it is proven that soccer has the highest home field differential. Yet, United had twice as many passes, dominated possession had well more than twice the attempts, and thrice the big chance, xpg was nearly 3-1 for United, and they didn't lose. Not the best result, but not end of the world here. Lineup that Ole threw out there was not to lose - that will be the case whenever Matic and Fred are two of your mf'ers. I agree that Matic is probably done, as a MF option, but you do need a bit of rotation here. The only things that bother me about United is they paid 90 million for a bench player? That's ridiculous, lets start him. Martial and Lingaard need to be sold, neither has a place on a top 10 team in the world, but either would thrive on a lesser team. I'd rather have the likes of their youth team players then have to continue to trot out these guys tbh. But, they did do something I liked in loaning out Brandon Williams, because I hope he never plays another game for United, ever. I did like the kits. And Juve's kits. They complimented each other And there was a CR7 shirtless pose this weekend. Too bad it was ruled off.
  14. Welcome to the Bundesliga, Hungarian wunderkid. My word
  15. Dortmund are like the Rams greatest show on turf. From gk to goal in 3 seconds. And Haaland is absolutely unstoppable 1v1
  16. I don't play fantasy soccer, but this reminds me of the week where Kane and Son had like 4-5 goals/assists between them. Pretty sure anyone that stacked a Pogba/Bruno mf has won this week
  17. When Fred is scoring, you're probably having a good game
  18. Messi to PSG best thing that could have ever happened to United
