  1. Im a 25 yr lion fan and i can honestly say i never seen the team play like that in my life time, they could of crumbled and packed it up after the strange fumble return or the td call on Golladay but man i saw a team not willing to bend the knee to a powerhouse SB contender all game. The lions were running at will and Stafford was dropping lazer beams in a 2x2 window between 4 defenders on a dime. Im not gonna jump the gun cause what i saw from them last season and the start of the Arizona game this year, but if they play like this the rest of the season my view on the BQ + MP regime will
  2. That last part about Stafford has made me now dumber for reading it, congratulations you have somehow managed to lower my total IQ if that was in fact your total goal of this post... and I'm not even a Stafford owner/Lion fan
  3. If Big Mike Williams is under 250, sign him up and send Titus packing.Agreed on Delmas. He reminds me of Nick Eddy - every year/month/week it's always something.Who knows where they end up drafting, probably somewhere between 6th and 10th. That will dictate specific players. If they can get Dee Milliner in the first, they should - we haven't had a decent cover corner since Dre Bly. Otherwise, take Luke Joeckel or Lewan. Need an anchor on that line. Or go with a pass rusher like Bjoern Werner or Sam Montgomery.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start drafting guys that play line on either side of the ball. S
  4. The offense can score enough to win game. Until the can get some stops on defense this team is going nowhere. Right now Jeff Backus is running on fumes so the left tackle spot needs to be adressed as well. Backus is doing decent job but he is aging in dog years right now. Delmas gets hurt on every tackle he makes and really can`t be counted on anymore so the Lions need a SS to go with a couple of corners..oh and I forgot..throw a couple of LBs who can stop the run on that wish list as well.I agree they can score enough to win a game but how they do it is not effective and wears out what litt
  5. This team desperatley needs to find an identity.... too many times have we seen the same ole start to a game over and over and over... where is the urgency to win games with these players? Do we put blame on the coaching staff for this? Also... maybe.... juuuuust maybe this team will draft viable DBs some day.... oh what the heck im kidding myself it will never happen.
  6. I agree with your post but had to comment on this... Theres no way in hell i value Pettigrew over Oher... that one still stings in my mind and i have a feeling Konz will too.
  7. It is about need. I like Broyles but WR is not a need for the Lions. When you have Calvin locked up for his career, Titus Young coming back as a second year WR, two good pass catching TEs..you can always find a third WR to plug in. This is how I see it as well. I'm all for getting value. I'm all for going BPA (while still considering your needs because BPA with no regard to your teams needs is stupid. If you disagree then ask yourself if Belichick would have drafted Andrew Luck with the number one overall. No he wouldn't. ). I'm all for sticking to your board. However if Broyles was the hig

  9. You keep saying this. It is not necessary to spin. You are nowhere near as informed nor anywhere near the expertise on these matters as those that made the decisions. It pretty much ends there. That is the dumbest argument I've heard. Since they know more they can't make a bad pick?apparently because you know i heard the same thing in the bobby ross era and millen regime after their picks too... i guess us dumb people who spend the time to read scouting reports and look into players ourselves got no clue either.

When you have Calvin locked up for his career, Titus Young coming back as a second year WR, two good pass catching TEs..you can always find a third WR to plug in.The Lions did address need, they need to be able to score at will to keep up with the Packers. The Packers first 6 picks were all defense. Lions offense can hang with any team..they just can`t stop anyone. Their need was corner and it would have been a major reach to take any corner with their 2nd. None went for the rest of the round. Reaching for need is terrible
  11. Aside from our 1st and the lower high risk high reward players in the back end not named whitehead I'm pretty disappointed.
  12. Huh? Both Konz and Adams were not reaches, they were first round grades Konz(mid) Adams (late)Both graded out rounds higher then Broyles too.If those grades were legit, why did both players go in the late 2nd? Grades are relative only to those doing the grading. It seems a lot of teams had lower grades on both of them.I am not an Adams fan. Konz would have been ok with me, but like I said, I don't see him playing guard and they might think Raiola has 2 years left and if that's the case, Konz would be a wasted pick. This assumes the Lions even like Konz. Also, centers are not all that tough to

  14. I agree. I like the 1st pick of Reiff and he really fell into their lap. After that, I think the draft for Det is a bit of a disaster. Taking Broyles is an awful pick. He wasn't worth the 2nd round pick before the injury and will get lost on their roster. That pick could have been much more useful to take a LB like L. David, who went only a few picks later. It also would have been better spent doubling up on the Oline seeing that great value was on the board in Adams or Konz. With a paring of Reiff and Adams/Konz Det could have instantly upgraded both the inside and outside of their Olin
  15. I dont care how some are spinning the Broyles pick... It was a bad pick. I find it very hard to believe he was the BPA even before injury. He had a forth round grade, and when you have a guy like Konz just sitting there or Adams to further strengthen that OL you do it. You win games from the trenches out not from a slot receiver. Horrid pick, they preached BPA the while draft yet did the opposite and reached from the 2nd round on... I really thought Bentley was a reach there too.. If your going db Boykins was the one to get and higher grade. I'm a very disappointed Lion fan right now, very u
