⚽ OFFICIAL GOLD CUP THREAD: United States Beats Mexico. Again. ⚽ (2 Viewers)

I know, wrong thread and all, but I figure this thread will be busy today so I will ask here.

I have been tablet user ever since they were first introduced.   As such I never owned a smart phone.

I finally, in my old age, have my first smart phone now.  Please list any and all soccer apps that you think I might enjoy.  Thanks!

i find this site useful to track all live scores, where the match is being televised, etc

there are times the books offer matches, then yank 'em off their slate mid-game ... so the linked page is a go-to for getting the skinny on every match taking place on any given day.

Wrong Thread!

I use FotMob.  Can set alerts for your favorite teams as well as International teams.  Even pushes transfer alerts and general news if that's what you want.

I don't have any outside of Fantrax for the FFA fantasy league and the Premier League fantasy app. I have the Chronicle Live app for Newcastle and then podcast subscriptions. NBC Predictor app is fun I guess. Beyond that it's just Twitter and Reddit.

Not specifically a soccer app, but I'm a big fan of TheScore.  I suggest trying it out.

@AnexiNanas

Qatar scores a lot but the US don’t give up a lot of goals. Qatar gives up a lot of goals but the US don’t score a lot.

Exact same lineup

Tonight’s USMNT Starting XI vs. Qatar: 1-Matt Turner, 3-Sam Vines, 6-Gianluca Busio, 7-Paul Arriola, 11-Daryl Dike, 12-Miles Robinson, 13-Matthew Hoppe, 16-James Sands, 17-Sebastian Lletget (capt.), 20-Shaq Moore, 23-Kellyn Acosta

Lletget gets the captain's armband because GGG gonna GGG.  Or perhaps reward for taking such excellent crosses last match.

It is a sneaky big game for Dike.  I don't want to see a 3rd straight clunker as I will lose any confidence I had in him for qualifiers.

My only semi surprise is Dike over Zardes.
Even though he's not been great and lacks that technical aspect we want, Dike is a load to deal with.  He makes their CBs work their tails off.  Let him bang with them for 60, then bring on Zardes and his quick, well timed runs.  I'm all for it.

Should theoretically have more space against a single CB with Qatar in a back three.  I kind of thought GGG might match formations and throw a back 3 out himself, but he doesn't really have the CB depth for that, I suppose.  In any case, the Nats need to pin back the Qatar wingbacks and win duels in CM.  An early goal or two sure wouldn't hurt either.  We haven't really seen Qatar have to face that game state.

Nothing sneaky about it.  Berhalter is giving him every chance to show he's useful for 90 mins in a high energy system against decent teams.  Big surprise that we don't see Zardes IMO.

The fact that we're even talking about Busio for this cycle says more about the generation in front of him than anything else. He'll be in his prime for the 2030 WC.

It's unfortunate, but Matt Turner reminds me of a guy who played next to me at C on my high school football team.  Guy was about 140 dripping wet and drove a primer-coated Camaro.
