So far they've had one clean counter, with only a miss-hit cross killing things (attacker got behind Shaq in the box) and Sands...and this attack.

Yep. Spacing and shape not good.

But I think a lot has to do with how cohesive Qatar is going forward. They really understand each other and where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runs are going to be.

But there have been longer balls to him. He's one 1 that I can think of, and lost more than 5. Some of them, Sarge-like, where he just gets there second best

Zardes would have gotten that on frame.

Not saying it would have been on purpose, but the ball would have hit him somewhere on his body and then forced a save

I'm ok with bringing him in at the 60-70 minutes if we need a goal or need to change strategy.  As it is, I'm just not sure I see the plus in starting him - save to see if he can play the 9 for us.  I'd rather see Zardes, Sargent or Hoppe with the style I think we want to play.
