England were scared to lose that match - embarrassing.
This guy.Β ΒItaly, Belgium, and England look the best thus far.
Β ZThere's much more knowledgeable folks in here than me but in addition to always playing scared, there's no cohesion because they don't have a style of play that the players expect and/or are used to.Β Sterling and Foden are running at guys and making runs and James, Rice and Shaw are making safe passes and not running in to space made for them.Β But that's not how their club teams play.Β Also, I don't think English players play for the shirt the way many other countries do.Β This may not be fair to say but I don't think there's a national sense of pride in English players the same way there is for most of these sides.Β Watching England is like watching an All-Star team.Scotland had three nice scoring chances and other than the header by Stones I don't recall another one from England.Β Deserved draw for Scotland.Β Β
England are so consistently less than the sum of their parts, and robotic.Β It's like watching 10 James Milners most of the time.Β I'd give Graelish more minutes and have the team find him with the ball.
Americans.ΒWho was it who thought England looked like one of the top teams?
Most Americans I talk to seem to want the English to loseΒAmericans.Β

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that EVERY major tournament (& qualifiers),Β the English-speaking talking heads & "pundits" put England amongst the top few teams, when their track record is so poor. Most Americans I talk to seem to want the English to loseΒ![]()
Thereβs a pretty good chance that England will have secured the last 16 before the match kicks off but that would be a nightmare scenario. You think that was bad, wait until you see England and the Czech Republic play where a gentleman's draw gets them both in the knockouts.
Oh - I donβt listen to those folks about anything but definitely not about soccer. Β Generic American sports journalists are typically not too great with their soccer knowledge. The only thing they everΒ "Bring Home" is their dejected squad on the first plane back to England.
C'mon guys, you know I have absolutely no bias or bitterness when it comes to The Three crying Lions...
...where's @Sebowski when I need him...
Loved it. Scotland were fantastic in the second half.Β Gilmour MOTM performance against that vaunted England midfield.ΒAre you sure? This game is finally getting good.
I'd say you are more than getting the hang of it...Finally getting the hang of juggling the fantasy lineup thingy

I think England is incredible overrated in this honestly. Scotland is my 3rd team next to Italy and US but if England can't beat Scotland in a major tournament and draw and not score 1 goal then you cannot call yourself a great team. English tabloids tomorrow should be fun to to read and see the mass hysteria. Especially after how they all reacted after the first match. England was lucky it didn't lose. I saw most of the 2nd half missed the first and most of the chances seemed to be for Scotland besides the end there.ΒEngland were scared to lose that match - embarrassing.
Add the English themselves. If England lose Gary Neville needs to go into hiding after he said he thought England was better then Italy and wait till Italy play a real team.ΒAmericans.Β

Wait a minute, I thought I was running away with this thing (and counting down to my epic downfall)...I'd say you are more than getting the hang of it...
Not really - Stones missed a sitter hitting the post and they had a couple other decent chances.Β Draw was a fair resultDJackson10 said:I think England is incredible overrated in this honestly. England are very lethargic and not showing any signs of being able to pull it together when the knockout rounds start.ΒPeople are completely overreacting.Β England is still extremely likely to go through.Β Germany drew Ghana in the second group stage game in 2014.Β Portugal was terrible in the group stage in 2016, and to be fair, pretty much the entire tournament.Β Spain lost to Switzerland in the first game of the 2010 World Cup.Β Β
Italy looks great right now, but the team that looks best in the first week rarely wins major tournaments.Β Just too much luck and variance involved in the knockout rounds.Β And considering the England probably doesn't want anyone out of the Group of Death in the knockouts, this result is hardly catastrophic.Β Β
Iβm treating this league scoring like golf.ΒJaysus said:Wait a minute, I thought I was running away with this thing (and counting down to my epic downfall)...
Β Yeah - I got burned in the other direction here....I vote France anthem too.
P.S. Of course Parvard started after being knocked out last game and being listed as doubtful all week.Β![]()
Yeah. I've liked Derek Rae and Ekoku too, thought they did a good job during the whole Eriksen incidentIβm going to say it - Darke and Robson are the best espn has for this tournament.Β
He's playing a lot deeper than he is best at. Have got to think they would prefer Coman for that role if he was in the squad. Ronaldo is going to feast on the LW with how France looks. They need to figure out how to go three in the back before that game.Dembele has not been very good since coming on.
Yes, one in each half IIRCJust tuning in, have they had hydration breaks during the game?
