Fair enough, but the argument is the same. Treating some or even most of the women in your life with respect is nice but it is not in any way exonerating, and the implication that it somehow discredits a sexual assault accusation is outdated and ugly. Imagine what all the women out there who have been sexually assaulted by respected authority figures must feel like hearing that line of defense. It just encourages them to keep quiet.These women said "he didnt rape me"? I thought it said he treated women with respect. Those things are different.
