Now, the Saints are poised to welcome Walker into their professional football family.
Walker attended Saints rookie mini-camp on Saturday, the day of his graduation, and he said, via
NOLA.com, that he thought he was going to eat oysters afterward. Instead, the team surprised him by signing him to a deal. Walker said the signing was a dream come true.
Walker also got a shout-out from a Saints icon who also is battling through impaired physicality.
