Robin Hood and his merry men dropping the hammer on cup holders Leicester.

eta: I missed a "yikes, and away" reference opportunity.

Liverpool v Cardiff was a Magic-killer (#2 vs #40) though:  3-1, and wasn't that close.

Diaz looked hard-working and lively in his debut and hustled his way to a skilled assist after coming on.

Harvey Elliott, returning from the ankle that got destroyed in September, scored a sweet two-toucher for Liverpool's 3rd.

The first half of the AFCON final was pretty good but the game has become a stop/start affair in the second.  Still hoping for a goal in regulation to put this game out of its misery.

I was a little surprised how poor he looked today.

I think they need Lingard in the line-up to give them some energy.
No.  Never the answer.

Preach. Especially when they defended that counter so very well, almost covering at least one of the three wide open guys.
As usual, Maguire is standing there with his hand up instead of defending through the whistle.

Sad part is, had the guy that handled the ball scored instead of passing to the guy who ultimately scored, it would have been ruled out. What a mess of the laws they have made.

And Own Goal makes it 2-0...

Oh wait, linesman calls something and it doesn't go to VAR so its still 1-0.  Watching with no sound at work. SSSSHHHH

So ManU playing that bad, or Burnley playing that well?

Just turned it on in time to see Jay Rodriguez look like Messi against Harry Maguire.

Its Maguire what do you expect.

United has been ok, 2 goals called back and no one seems to know why.  Burnley has started to press in the 2nd half and Maguire has been exposed again.  Shaw as well for holding everyone one Maguire style.

Two things United coaches need to learn....

1) Maguire does not equal clean sheet

2) If you need a goal and you think Lingard is the answer, you are wrong.

Newcastle 3 - 1 Everton.  Big result in the 'teams too big for the relegation battle but yet there they are' section of the table.

Burnley looked like a fighter today, relegation battle could get interesting in the coming weeks.

Eddie Howe has Lampard's number. Couldn't beat him when Chelsea played Bournemouth and now Eddie's ragtag gang at Newcastle give him a drubbing at his new gig.

Jesse Marsch did a decent preview of the CL games in Athletic.  Spoiler - he thinks PSG is pretty strong up front, especially if Neymar is healthy.
but they're pretty much a one man show with Neymar. I mean... who else do they really have up front?

Gotta say- even though it was a class goal by RB (and even classier flick by Aaronson), with further class at the right times they really should've put 3 or 4 past BM. As it is, they deserve the final scoreline here and not the win.

so weird to see Barca in Europa games. but that looks like more of a CL battle with Napoli- they got unlucky with the draw. Dest? or will they rest him with Alves out next game due to Red card.

and we might get Gio vs Sands today... tbh, no idea where Gio is in his recovery- Iirc he was reinjured or sick for the last game?

and hopefully Adams plays in RB's game.. or is healthy enough to play if needed.

and then tonight we get more concacaf CL games- Seattle and Colorado each play.

and the USWNT play the Czech Republic in their opener of the SheBelieves Cup, aka Trinity Rodman's coming out party.

I was really surprised she was only a late addition to the roster - particularly after she just signed the largest contract in the Women's League.
yeah.

tbh, I've never seen her play outisde of a couple clips. but by all accounts from established pros, she's supposed to be legit. looking forward to seeing her.
