Mjallby, a team from a fishing village of fewer than 1,500 people, are champions of Sweden!!

It's their first-ever title, achieved only seven years after the club were in the 3rd tier. Behold the joy of a footballing fairy-tale
Having watched a third tier Swedish game can confirm standard there is terrible

I don't think I have ever seen a Swedish top division game (this post was about winning the Allsvenskan, which I think is the top division in Sweden). But I have seen some of their top teams playing Champions League over the years.

Yeah in the same trip I saw AIK against some jobbers which finished about as one sided as you would imagine, yes the Allsvenskan is the top league

Not sure who had a worse game today, Anthony Taylor, VAR Michael Oliver, or announcer Graham Le Seaux. So bad the lot of them.

Mbuemo with 2, Cuhna gets his 1st and Casemiro adds one and United win 4-2.
Nice goal by Welbeck on a free kick.

Thinking about United's improvement in form and it comes down to one thing. A competent GK. They aren't starting games down 1-0 due to a howler or an easy goal. Now when they start scoring they get ahead instead of having to catch. Reduces some of the pressure. Defenders can just relax and play defense, attackers can try and score and aren't having to overcome their own gk.
Lammens is showing a calmness, sure hands, and control in his box. Had some nice saves today, Neither goal was on him.

First PK was a foul, not sure it was clearly and obviously on the line....

Ref sure did try to help LP get the equalizer there.

Should have been a second PK on the VVD elbow too.

Go Brentford

Slot's going to be in hot water sooner rather than later if he can't put something cohesive on the field. They're a hot mess both in and out of possession at this point.

Barry Switzer winning a Super Bowl keeps coming to mind.

That is a crazy VAR overturn
x2

I guess I get the one on Mbappe’s ridiculous strike that should have counted just because of how good it was, but there must have been some angle I didn’t see on the Vini foul because it seemed clear to me. I’m also multiviewing so might have missed it.
Vini kicked into the back of Yamal's foot but Yamal never got the ball. Feel like those don't usually get overturned.

One-nil to the Arsenal on a jammy kung fu free kick goal and City and Liverpool ****ting the bed. Heady days for us Gunners fans.
I am enjoying the ride but as an Arsenal i still feel the impending collapse as we typically do

Our defense is amazing and deep so we should be favored in all games
Our offence isn't that threating in open play, I thought that our attacking additions in the off season that we would be more creative. I do realize teams are playing us like everyone did when Man City was dominate , pull all 10 or 11 men back and make the team break it down

It is wild that Man U was so far down and counted out and now sitting 6th

Playing against a relegation zone team who just changed managers is never fun. Especially since United plays down to the perceived level of the other team. Giving up 2 within 5 mins of the restart to go down 1 on the road would have crushed this team a few months ago. Forest deserved better but United salvaging a win when not playing well is progress in itself.

The team looked sluggish and had less urgency then the last few matches.
Sesko was off today as was Bruno.
Dalot put in another stinker that will give him 3 more starts for some reason.
Yoro subbed because Amorim seems to want to replace a defender every game regardless?
rate most 5 & 6 out of 10 with Dalot a 2.

Quite a few non league clubs through to round two of the Cup, Chelmsford, Gateshead, Boreham Wood, Buxton, Macclesfield, Slough, Sutton United, Wealdstone, Weston Super Mare and Brackley all now one game away from a huge tie against PL opposition, with another five potentially joining them either tomorrow or Monday.
