If true, not sure why they'd go this route (Boswell). Never kicked in the NFL, released by 2 teams before end of preseason, averaged 74% at Rice.
I just don't get it either. Had to be better options than this kid.
Could be money. I assume he was signed for the minimum which $435K - so prorated for the 12 reamaining games makes it about $326K.

Scobee's salary was abut $3.4M but the Jags were paying $925K of that so he cost Pittsburgh around $625K for the 4 games he played. I do no think they have any other impact against their salary cap for him.

Just glad he's cut. No idea who the yahoo is that they signed and don't care. "Not Josh Scobee" is good enough for me. If this cat sucks after a couple weeks, cut him and find another dead body.

Exactly, he certainly can't be worse, I mean he makes 1 kick of any sort and it's an upgrade. They're paying minimum wage so we'll see. But there was no way they could continue with that train wreck scobee.

I never trust La Canfora, but I still hope it's true!

I think we beat the Chargers this week if our pass rush stays this awesome. Vick will probably be told to hand off more to Bell and Williams this week after the Browns gashed them on the ground.

Wheaton looks like the odd man out.

Brown is Brown

Bryant may well be un-guardable and is just getting started

Heyward-Bey looks like he may have actually finally learned to run routes and catch the football. Certainly an acceptable #3?

Coates stepped on the field and made a nice catch at the sideline.

Can you get anything for a #2/#3 WR in trade. Couldn't a team like Carolina use him?

I think it is too early to make the call on Wheaton. Bryant is one puff away from a 10 game suspension and Coates is a rookie with a grand total of 1 catch to his credit. DHB is looking serviceable but has been a journeyman despite his pedigree,

Brown... well Brown is Brown.

I keep wanting to think that but I never see anything. If you can't trade for anything then of course keep him. But if we could add useful depth in the secondary I'd say we could well afford that.

Hopefully Bryant is not THAT stupid? At this point he cannot even drink? Put him on 24 hour lockdown :)

I would feel better if Shazier and Bryant were playing this game and early last week it looked like that would be the case but what can you do?

San Diego's run defense is not very good but I expect them to load up the box anyway with an all-out effort to stop Bell. Hopefully Vick's chemistry with the receivers improves and he has a bit more of a handle on the playbook. It could really loosen things up if he can hit a few passes downfield. I also Hope that Haley doesn't get too cute if the running game is working -- we don't need any WR option plays.

On defense it goes without saying they'll need to get some pressure on Rivers and I think they will. Hopefully Gates is a bit rusty after being away from the team for the past month but given that he is a veteran it probably won't matter.

And then we have the new kicker -- he's gotta be better than Scobee, right?

L. Jones must be hoooorrrriiiiible if he can't play better than Vick after 3 years in Pittsburgh. Every game Vick starts is a reminder that the Jones pick sucked.

Playing not to lose. Puke. Vick just isn't a good backup. I mean he's not a good starter anymore in the league either but your backup needs to just distribute and not make mistakes. Neither of those things Vick has ever excelled at.

And our defense has been great again. I am really convinced this was a top 3 team with Ben. Too bad they probably won't end up with enough wins for the playoffs.

Love the INT given that it will probably be the only TD of the game but damn it Blake how about running to the end zone harder. I was sure he was going to pull a Desean Jackson on that one

Butler has this D back on track. Really disappointing that it has come with Ben's injury. They would be looking like the Cardinals now on a regular day.

I keep hearing that Jones can't be any worse but we have seen him in the pre-season and we know that it really could be worse. At this rate Leveon Bell in the wildcat is our best option

I can't watch Vick any more. He's like a 16 year old kid going to his first driving lesson and being handed the keys to a Ferrari. The GD thing is just bucking and stalling while going absolutely nowhere.

Can't watch this team until Ben gets back. Watching them is giving me the inclination to repeatedly jab myself with shards of glass. I don't want to die.

After last week's loss I was frustrated because it was a game we had. After this week's loss, I'm just angry. They have no chance to win a game.

This has been extremely frustrating. Might as well play Jones of all you're going to do is run run, short pass behind the yard to gain.

Well damn I guess I'll gladly eat some crow
Nah. He still bites. One blown coverage does not a QB make. Don't get me wrong, I'll gladly take it, but the guy still sucks.
I know but don't ruin the moment. If the Steelers can somehow pull this off, I'll feel really good about this season
No chance they win this
I thought you were ####### gone until next season.
