It seems these 4 are tied for the 1.01 pick...

The key here is PPR.Without the PPR, I'll take AP without hesitation. With PPR, I have Calvin, AP and Fitz very very close.Look, lots of guys get catches. Calvin is great and so is Fitz, but then there's always new WRs...see the historical analysis by position thread on FantasyCafe in the Leftovers section.WRs don't repeat in the top 5. Only TO and Marvin and Moss and Rice. In the last like 30 years. So..........You gotta go AD. He is a transcendent talent and they just don't come along that often. Every game he could blow up for 200 yards and TDs. And his floor is high. And his ceiling is limitless. There are way more WRs that are closer to Calvin and Fitz than there are RBs who are close to AD. Look at value and tiers...because AD is in a tier all by himself.
WHY?!?!?!Would you rather have AD and Marques Colston or Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson? (just off top of my head, no reason for picking of either pair except all are young...)You take AD. Sure, Calvin is much better than Colston, bu tthe difference you get between Colston and Calvin is wayyyyy less than the difference between AD and any other RB. I did a study last year in my redraft, and made a trade for Peterson: I gave Andre Johnson, Steve Slaton, and Steven Jackson for Adrian Peterson. With the other WRs I had and CJ4.24 as my other RB, my PPG increased. Thats how good peterson is. You lose 2 other first round RBs and a top 5 WR for just him, and your PPG INCREASES. You have to take him. No contest. Especially since a guy like Welker or Royal will come close to Calvin because of the massive amount of receptions they get.The key here is PPR.Without the PPR, I'll take AP without hesitation. With PPR, I have Calvin, AP and Fitz very very close.Look, lots of guys get catches. IMO, Calvin has every bit the talent these 4 did. If you could get Moss or Rice early in their career, wouldn't you?The only concern about him is whether Stafford will be decent. He did well without a good QB, so this concern is less than with some situational WRs. I take Calvin and lock in an elite WR for the next 5-10 years.Look, lots of guys get catches. In a redraft, I take AD. In a dynasty, probably Calvin. I just trust that he'll be great longer.WHY?!?!?!Would you rather have AD and Marques Colston or Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson? There isnt much diff at all in the points scored by AD and other RBs in ppr leagues. Number of guys who outscored him while guys like Fitz, Calvin and AJ are getting 300+ points. But like another guy said, much depends on your starting requirements. In large leagues that start 3 WRs, its a no brainer to take Fitz or Calvin for me. You mentioned AD and Lynch. Last year AD scored 269 points with 363 carries. Lynch scored 235 with 250 carries. PPR knocks AD's value a lot.WHY?!?!?!Would you rather have AD and Marques Colston or Marshawn Lynch and Calvin Johnson? The value at the very end of the 2nd until the 4th round in competitive PPR leagues is tilted heavily toward the RB.I agree w/ the point that you'll almost certainly get a better WR in the late 2nd/early 3rd selections than RB since there are more WR options.
