Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski told reporters this week that he’ll play in Week One, but on a limited basis.

- All signs point to Gronk playing but probably not playing more than 1/2 the total offensive snaps. Not sure what his value is as he could get a cheap Red Zone TD or finish the game with just 2-3 catches.

In his first game off an elbow injury last year, he racked up an 8-114-0 line on 17 targets while playing on just 35-of-68 snaps.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Gronkowski (knee) is expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins, NFL.com reports. Analysis: The report suggests that Gronkowski may see his snaps limited some on Sunday, but at this stage, it looks like we'll see him out there in Week 1. In any case, we'll confirm the tight end's status, one way or the other, as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches.

I'm torn between starting Gronk or playing it safe and rolling with Heath Miller...After reading about his performance coming off his elbow injury, i'm leaning towards Gronk

His ceiling is so much higher than the typical fantasy backup I can't imagine too many people are seriously considering sitting him.
