Every Mock Draft or player ranking I see out there is based on the 1QB league setup, which is fine since that's what most leagues use. But I'm in two leagues that use 2QBs and i'm trying to predict as to how other owners draft in the first two rounds. Obviously, incorporating 2QBs makes the few great QBs even more valuable. Does anyone w/ experience in 10-team, 2QB leagues have any experience as to how the other teams draft? Obviously, someone will take Manning in the 1st round, but I'm also thinking that Palmer, Brees and maybe even Brady will be gone by the end of the first or early 2nd round since they have more value (IMO) than a Ronnie Brown or Cadillac Willaims. Is there a trend that any of you have seen? thanks!

It really just depends on your league. I have one league where all four of the QBs you mention will most likely be gone by 2.2. Another league I am in will probably only see Manning and maybe one other QB go in the first. Look at your league's drafting history to give you an idea on how things might go.

You can set up the Draft Dominator for a 2QB starting lineup and then run through a handful of automated mocks to get a sense of things. Have you given that a try yet? In the most basic sense, think of it as decreasing the baseline value of QBs, ergo increasing their X-values.

I've been playing in a 10-team start 2 QB league for ten+ years. My leagues also use 2 Flex players so they sound like they're pretty much in line w/ your league. I didn't consider the Flex player's affect on the draft. I expected more QBs to go early but like you said, the extra flex positions make RB's as valuable as in a 1QB league. thanks for the info ... very helpful!

i totally see the majority of owners going RB in round 1. I'm kind of surprised that the majority of owners are going RB in round 2 though since the quality of RB is dimished at that point in the draft. Again, i'm just looking at it from the point of "there are only so many QBs to go around and very few are studs" and I'd tend to be inclined to pick up a Brees or Bulger in Round 2 instead of say a Jamal Lewis or Magahee because i'd think that there'd be a huge run on QBs, but apparently I am mistaken. thanks for the info!

At least from what I have observed in my league, there still is a "Stud RB" mentality that is hard for some owners to overcome. I mean, every magazine list and a majority of internet lists are set up this way or are very similar to that theory. So part of the art of drafting is to take advantage of the knowledge you acquire from other owners actions. True, QB's are just as valuable as RB's are in the early rounds. But sometimes the savvy drafter will "go with the flow" and seize the advantage moment at its best opportunity. So I myself may hold off a round or two later than VBD says that I should in drafting a QB or a 2nd QB. But that is strictly because I have a good idea how the rest of my league is thinking and consequently valuing.

Where you see the separation in your QB tiers is what is critical. This year, I may be inclined to grab my first QB in Round 2 or early Round 3 (depending on where my pick is) b/c after Manning, Palmer, Brees, Brady, and probably Bulger, I get a little skittish relying on any of the other guys as my QB1 in a 2 QB league. But I haven't really given that a lot of thought yet, and the continued RBBC scene makes me very hesitant to grab an RB2 later than Round 2.
