I love the auction format for FF. I have put together a league of leagues with this format:

$1000 entry fee covers four leagues: two Traditional Live Auctions with differing lineup rules, one Slow Auction, and one Live Auction that is just best-ball format with no moves/lineups.

Same 12 owners for each of the 4 leagues.

$9,800 split for the top teams in each of the 4 leagues . $1000 towards overall top scorer for all 4 leagues combined + $1000 for top wins total for all 4 leagues combined.

Only money taken out of the pot would be $200 to cover league hosting fees.

I have written up the full rules.

This would not be associated with my Phenoms FF Leagues. I will be in this league. I will handle the money, and I feel that my reputation here and for running Phenoms FF should provide plenty of credibility.

I think I'd be interested at $500 -- not sure about $1,000. Possibly. Would also depend on what night of the week you choose (Mondays and Wednesdays would not be good for me).

 
Would Sunday mornings work for everyone, say like 11 AM Eastern time? Saturday afternoons?

I'm thinking this will be a go if we can get 5 or 6 fairly committed soon. Let me know what works best for you.

 
I have another draft on Monday, August 31st, but it starts at 7:30 PM EST.

If we start at 9:00/9:30 PM EST, I could overlap for a little while.

Great job with the rules. Everything is quite clear.

I'm curious what others think about the rules for trades. I'm not a big fan of trades in relatively high stakes leagues in general but it seems particularly problematic when there are 4 related leagues.

 
Well, it's really 3 leagues that allow trades, and each one is really a $250 league. I was intrigued by the prospect of trading across leagues - suppose I'm deep at QB in one league, and you're deep at WR in another - a trade makes sense. Adds some level of strategy, IMO.

However, I can see how this might make collusion even easier.

I'm willing to make this entire thing no trading if that's what the majority of people want.

 
Looks like 3 confirmed so far with a few others showing interest. I'd say it's looking like NO trading will be allowed.

We're up to 5, and maybe 6. I think that's a solid start. I'm going to revise the rules a tiny bit today. NO trading.

Where are my high rollers at? Actually, when you break it down, it's really four $250 leagues, so that will help reduce the variation you might experience playing in a $1000 league. Still have a couple of weeks and I still think we'll get this filled. Drop me an email if you're interested!

 
7 in, a few "maybe's" as well. Getting closer. Need to get this filled by the weekend of the 15th or so.

 
strong 'maybe' - post here or by email when the times are finalized. I can't start before 7:30 pm eastern (prefer 8pm +).

I'm trying to arrange a couple draft dates/times around this since Unlucky is in one the leagues too.

Now if I can just fill the 1 NACKL keeper league opening before I leave town with the family tomorrow!

 
Put me down as YES for 10 or 12 teams. This is a great oppurtunity for those that think they are AUCTION experts to strut their stuff. Hopefully we start with a great base and can keep many of the same owners for many years to come.

 
For those that have expressed interest please let Unlucky know your prefs/flexibility on entry $, league size, etc.

I'm very flexible on most everything and would drop down to as low as $500 for 4 leagues, drop to 3 leagues, drop to 10 owners, etc.

The only thing I was NOT really comfortable with was dropping to 8 owners in all the leagues.

I do think for this concept to work we need ALL the same owners in each league.

Just a thought but I'd be ok with dropping the SLOW auction league this year. IMO that is the most time sensitive item and removing that could make the 8/24 8/31 9/7 fast ESPN based auctions.

Unlucky could you try and get all interested parties to post here to discuss this and/or bounce around emails.

ps - worst case scenario if this falls apart I think we should all have one auction league for this year b/w us outside of Phenoms so Unlucky can play (and get beat!)

If just one league $200 sounds like a good amount to me.

Talked to Unlucky last night. I would like to lock up a spot. I have no demands, but I told commish I would still participate if he had to make it 10 teams and had to skew the lineup requirements as a result.

I'm also down with only 3 leagues, and I'd probably prefer to play for $500, though neither is a deal-breaker.

As it stands, I have 9 committed to playing with 10 teams. I have 1 that will only play if we have 12 teams. I also have 1 that is trying to get things worked out with a co-owner. So, if you're in for 10 teams, let me know ASAP and we'll make it a go. If the two maybes come through, we'll jump to 12.

Deadline to decide is Wednesday the 19th of August.

 
I think the final 1 spot (for 10 teams) is available to anyone interested until Unlucky posts here that it is filled. I know there are 3 potential owners still thinking about it but we just need someone to step up and confirm it today. Post if you're interested for more info...

 
Came close to filling this and getting it off the ground last year. Had 10 owners.

With the earlier notification, I am pretty confident this will fill. Drop me a line.
