11 Team H2H on CBS (1 Viewer)

We have a guy dropping out of our 12-team league and may not be able to find a replacement owner in time.

Assuming we have to go with 11 teams I would ideally like to stay away from bye weeks and stick with a 12-team schedule with the 12th team becoming a ghost team that always scores the league average for that week.

Looking at CBS there does not appear to be an easy way to set this up automatically so I am thinking of ways to hack it. Can I just load the team with a bunch of crappy players and then manually force the scoring of the team (or individual players if I have to) to equal the average for that week? Does anyone know if that would work or is there an easier way that I am too stupid to think of?

Please don't post if you are just going to be slamming CBS. It really won't be helpful and we've already paid for the league so that ship has sailed. I'm just looking for a way to force it to do what I need it to do. Thanks.

Why don't you recruit a 12th manager from this board? I bet you'll find a nice list of worthy candidates.

It is a possibility but this is a neighborhood league that has been around since the early 90s. I'm guessing the rest of the owners would want to keep it local.

use league avg like you said, or let auto drafter select a team during the draft using cbs live drafting.this way you

a) have an actual team that takes players out of player pool on draft day.

b) a team that suffers thru byes like everyone else.you just have to agree on a starting lineup for that team..

kinda like blinding in a late guy during tx hold em..let everyone set that teams lineup once during the season, posting it in the msg board..that way you can all agree on it..would be fun that way..say its playing your rival you want to set the best lineup you can.if team makes playoffs the roster is liked before postseason..same lineup every week.if it wins places or shows, the money goes back to playoff teams..id rather play a real team than a league avg., and id rather have autodraft selecting players, thus thinning the herd, than having my leaguemates getting free players that wouldnt normally be there.
