This is a new Salary Cap/Contracts money league (no IDP).

LEAGUE FINANCES
League fees are $60 per year and will be managed through www.leaguesafe.com. To promote continuity first year owners are required to pay 50% of the league fees for the next year. In the event an owner abandons or decides not to renew his franchise by the league entry fee deadline the prepaid league fees will be forfeit. Owners may transfer their team to a new owner at any time provided MyFantasyLeague.com website allows franchise information to be changed. All league fees must be paid by July 31st of the season year.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place usiing a 50/30/20 percent split of funds remaining after paying for league hosting. Any rounding will favor the higher place. For example the first year entry fees of $720 will be distributed as follows:
League Hosting: $45.00
First Place: $338
Second Place: $203
Third Place: $134
For any scoring disputes, MyFantasyleague.com statistics will be considered the official statitstics for this league. In short, whatever MFL records as final stats for players will be official.
DRAFT
All drafts will be held using a live online auction format. The winning bid determines the yearly salary for the drafted player. Each year the draft pool will consist of free agents and rookies. Each drafted pplayer must be signed to a minimum 1 year contract.
WAIVERS
After the draft and through the first week of the season waiver pickups will be on a first come first served basis. During the rest of the season there will be two waiver periods. The first period will be from the last game of the previous week (Tuesday at 1:00am) until Thursday Midnight. During this period owners will be able to bid on any players they would like to pick up. The second period which starts immediately after the first period will be first come first served waiver pickups.
SALARY CAP
Each team will have a $250 salary cap for the season. During the initial draft $220 will be available for bidding on players.
CONTRACTS
Each team will have 50 contract years to divide among it's players. A team is not required to use all of it's contract years each season. Once assigned contract years can not be changed. Prior to the beginning of each season all players contract years will be decremented by one and any player with 0 years will be placed into the free agent pool and available for draft. A team may place the "franchise" tag on any one player with 0 years remaining on his contract up to one week prior to the start of the draft. That player will receive a one-year contract extension and a salary increase of 20% of his existing salary. If a team does not have the salary cap space available they can not use the "franchise" tag.
CUTTING A PLAYER UNDER CONTRACT
When a player under contract is cut the team will be charged 25% of the player's salary for the current year against their salary cap to drop the player. For example if a team cuts a player with a salary of $20, $5 will be charged against the salary cap and $15 will be available to pick up other players.
