12 team dynasty schedule you don't have (1 Viewer)

a better schedule. 13 weeks regular season.

If interested, PM me and give your email address and I will send it to you.

Each team still plays teams within their division twice. Games played outside the division is based upon the standings of the previous year. Weaker teams get an easier 3 game schedule, better teams get a harder 3 game schedule.

1) First place teams play teams 1, 2, and 4 from the other division.

2) Second place teams play teams 1, 3, and 5

3) Third place teams play teams 2, 3, and 6

4) Fourth place teams play teams 1, 4, and 5

5) Fifth place teams play teams 2, 4, and 6

6) Sixth place teams play teams 3, 5, and 6

all out of division games are played in weeks where there are bye weeks (3 of them, in wks 6-8).

You won't find this schedule anywhere. I created a simple excel spreadsheet for this schedule.

I do something similar in my dynasty league, but base the weaker vs. stronger schedule within the division games. Like you, have 12 teams 2 divisions. I have everyone scheduled to play each other once for a total of 11 games. Then I break each division down to top and bottom halves of 3 teams each and have the those teams play each other a second time. So each team plays two teams in their own division twice and everyone else once for a total of 13 regular season games.

Special thanks to Steelers4Life (Stu) for coming up with the idea of how to make the weaker teams have a better schedule, and also thanks to duke1948 (Benny) for reminding me that the 3 non-division games needed to be in the bye weeks. I'm part of two great leagues in Fantansy Legends I and II. I'm proud to be commish of both. Guys, when you have great owners that come up with this sh----it, it's a good thing.

Why is this needed?

Does your league set-up its rookie drafts so that the losing record (not weaker) teams get first pick for however many rounds?

Do these same teams have the access to the waiver wire? Did they use it?

Do these same teams have the ability to trade? Did they do it?

I do not understand nor see the need to coddle team coaches that lose, for whatever reason. Almost all leagues give the worst record teams first crack at the rookies. That, IMO, is enough charity. The rest is up to YOU.

BTW, if it appears the same teams are in the same predicament year after year, the better question is "What's wrong with their coaching strategy?"

Anybody can have a bad year (injuries, etc.) but if teams can't seem to crack the .500 mark ever, then those coaches better re-assess their approach to game play.

Maybe some coaching assistance or training would be better served here, instead of more handouts & coddling.

IT'S NOT THE TEAM, IT'S THE PERSON RUNNIN' IT! ;)

Same as any dynasty league as far as drafting, FA moves, etc. Last place drafts first.Isn't it true that the NFL gives weaker teams an easier schedule? This schedule tries to do a little of that.

Fantasy leagues are not the NFL.NFL teams can lose for a wide array of reasons, most of which have nothing to do with why a fantasy football team loses. Like money, weather, staff, etc. etc.

So why does a FF team lose?

3. Match-ups - bad timing of my players vs. yours. Odds are that this reason may result in a couple games lost, but not a season. In dynasty, it should not be the reason for being under .500 year after year.

2. Injuries - All NFL players get injured everytime they play. It's the severity of injuries. Yes, I have had teams where the injury bug has bit hard and lost a season over it (just lost a SB becuase of the lack of RBs at the end). In dynasty, it should not be the reason for being under .500 year after year.

1. Coaching - here's the culprit if your team is under .500, year after year. You, the FF coach, have not done enough to pull this team out of the hole. For whatever the reasons, you need to make the changes to win. Not the league making it easier on you becuase you lose.
