I run a 12-team (MFL) IDP league that has been in existence since 2007, and I have an open spot.
The team is a huge project:
Bradford, Sam STL QB Smith, Alex SFO QB Battle, Jackie SDC RB Gore, Frank SFO RB Redman, Isaac PIT RB Reynaud, Darius TEN RBMathews, Ryan SDC RB Crabtree, Michael SFO WR Hester, Devin CHI WR Jenkins, A.J. SFO WRMoss, Santana WAS WR Owusu, Chris TBB WRThomas, Demaryius DEN WR Wylie, Devon KCC WRDavis, Vernon SFO TE Brockers, Michael STL DTSuh, Ndamukong DET DT Winn, Billy CLE DT Dumervil, Elvis DEN DE Long, Chris STL DE Smith, Antonio HOU DE Wolfe, Derek DEN DEWilliams, Corey DET DTGreenway, Chad MIN LB Hawk, A.J. GBP LB Hightower, Dont'a NEP LBIngram, Melvin SDC LBMiller, Von DEN LBWillis, Patrick SFO LBCushing, Brian HOU LB Brown, Sheldon CLE CB Cason, Antoine SDC CB Clements, Nate CIN CB Davis, Vontae IND CB Joseph, Johnathan HOU CB Peterson, Patrick ARI CB Rogers, Carlos SFO CB Revis, Darrelle NYJ CB
The team picks second in the 7-round rookie draft (which snakes after Round 1).
It's not a money league, but members pay $5 per year to cover the hosting cost (or $25 lifetime if you prefer).
It's a 53-man roster and we start 18 players:
Each team will field a starting lineup for weeks 1 through 13 of the NFL season, and for any playoff weeks in which the team is still active. All starting lineups will consist of the following:
1 quarterback
at least 1 running back
1 kicker
at least 3 defensive linemen
at least 3 linebackers
at least 4 defensive backs
Teams may choose one of the following options for their offense:
1. Pro-set: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE.
2. Wishbone: 1 QB, 3 RB, 2 TE.
3. Spread offense: 1 QB, 1 RB, 4 WR.
4. West coast: 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/TE.
Teams may choose one of the following options for their defense:
1. 43 Defense: 4 DL, 3 LB, 4 DB.
2. 34 Defense: 3 DL, 4 LB, 4 DB.
3. Nickel: 3 DL, 3 LB, 5 DB.
Note that there are no true "flex" positions; each team must choose one of the above options for offense and defense. Teams may freely change their offensive and/or defensive scheme up until five minutes before the start of the first weekly NFL game. After that time, BDFL teams may still substitute players whose games have not yet begun. Teams are not required to maintain a particular scheme or schemes for the entire season but may freely change schemes from week to week.
