14 Round Draft- must draft ONLY 3 RBs and WRs (1 Viewer)

This is the 10th year of our 12 team league which started as an online draft. The first couple of years were done online with a format of drafting 2QBs, 3 RBs, 3WR, 2 TE, 2K and 2 DST. Our weekly starting lineups are 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K and 1DST. Now that we draft live, we still use these same rules. The commisioner feels that it helps to even things out for all teams. That being said, in this format of drafting, you are assured of having 2 top 24 QBs, Ks, TEs, DSTs and 3 top 36 RBs and WRs. Our league also scores 6 points for all TDs. I am picking 12th in serpentine format. I feel that the strategy for me this year might be to take a top QB and WR and sluff off the RBs till later, knowing that I will at least have 3 of my top 36 ranked RBs on my roster. Again, only 36 RBs are drafted in this format, and with the last pick I am assured of getting my first pick when the waiver process opens up. Almost all teams dump second TE, K and DST when waivers begin. The comissioner feels that it helps to even things out for all teams.

In this format, what do you feel is the best strategy? We draft tomorrow night. Thanks in advance for any response.

It sounds very socialist. Your commissioner seems to be a nice fellow.
