14 Team Schedule (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to put together a schedule for a 14 team, 3 division (5/5/4) league that I'm in. It's a 13 week schedule and we play every team once. Here's the challenge: we want to have the divisional games take place during NFL weeks 1-3 and 11-13 so players' bye weeks don't affect our divisional games. I've searched the internet, the website, etc and I've yet to find the right schedule. Does anyone have thoughts, insights, or the proper math skills? Thanks in advance.

Great idea, I do the same thing for my league. Might as well have the divisional games when all teams are the strongest.

Although my league is only 12 teams and not 14, I just use the schedule generator on this site, dump it into Excel, and move the weeks around to suit me.

The schedule comes out pretty close to the way you want it anyway. I think i just had to move the week one games to week four, and move the others (week 2, 3,4) up a week.

We use 3 divisions of 4 teams, so it might be a bit easier for me to do that. I don't have to account for that odd number (5) divisions you have.

I did it before this way but looks like i messed up somewhere with 7 not playing 9.

More work entering the schedule week by week but it can be done like so.

Maybe someone else can figure out where i messed up @.

Novice2,

That's close, but 14 doesn't play 12 at anytime during those 6 weeks. I'm also having a problem deconflicting the schedules during the 10 weeks where there are byes. I know there's a formula out there which would easily spit out what I'm looking for. I also know that I'm too dumb to determine what that formula is!

I messed with this for a while but i don't think it's possible. It's not hard to fit the divisional games in the 6 weeks you want, but the problem comes with filling out the other weeks with each non-divisional opponent. I don't know the exact math, but something with a 4x5x5 setup doesn't jibe.

Yeah, I sat down for about 5 hours and tried to hammer it out with no luck. I was able to put together the divisional games in the six weeks without a bye (1,2,3,11,12,13), but I couldn't make the intra-divisional games work when trying to finish out the remaining 7 weeks.
