My money is on someone who didn't spend the entire $200 will win it all... As for Holcombe... for cheap, if you don't have him and he has a super day, then a slew of people will probably be outscoring you at QB... not a great prospect huh? :-)

qb $9 :o rb $107wr $64te $6pk $6dt $8total $200 on the noseI think people are overspending at QB and defense. At least I hope they are. I think that the running backs were the hardest top settle on.

Only if he has a much better week than all 3 of another owners' QB's.This will be interesting to see what kind of rosters survive from week to week.

I agree that running backs are very hard to settle on. I'm still not sure about mine. I'm finding it hard to get rid of one of my QB's though, as I spent $44 there and have two QB's that should be solid all season and one that could very well match those two. Another week and all the second guessing will be over. :wall:  :wall:

How many people had to restructure their entire rosters after Stewart went down? I'm betting he was on a ton of rosters before the shoulder.Right now I'm at:QB: 29RB: 104WR: 47TE: 4PK: 7D: 9200 on the nose. Will probably reduce QB and add to WR before the start of the season though.I would agree with you that K Holcomb is probably on more rosters than any other player.

My numbers are similar to those posted here, so why bother posting. There is a little secret that went into my picking that I won't reveal here.Although I'm sure some of you have also thought of it. ;) Maybe on Sept. 2nd I'll mention it. :ph34r:I did manage to hit 200 on the nose without much adjustment.

Damn!!!!! I was POSITIVE I was going to win this thing. Then Ricky Dudley went down. :wall: I'm screwed. I'll never have time to reorg my lineup after my cornerstone gets injured so close to the deadline.....QB - 41RB - 112WR - 32TE - 3 + ???PK - 4DEF - 5

Question about the contest. Do you submit a new line up each week or do you ride the same line up all season long?
Per the rules:
There will be no draft. A subscriber simply chooses a team from the pre-determined values. Roster selection can be editted until September 1st at which point it will be frozen. No roster moves are permitted once the contest starts.
Each week your top QB, top 2 RBs, top 3 WRs, top TE, top PK and top Defense will count towards your weekly total. You do not have to select who will play. You will receive the maximum score based on your roster.

QB – 15RB – 88WR – 83TE – 6DEF – 5K – 4For what it is worth, I must wonder how much productivity folks who spent little on WRs will get form that position given that scores from 3 count each week.

After a long, long thought process and many sessions of tweaking, I have finally decided on a team. I won't bother to post the totals here, but I'll give a detailed rundown of my team once the entries are locked.

QB $15RB $99WR $65TE $6PK $7DT $8Still $200, but I had to bolster the QB position. Hopefully a slight improvement to WR and possibly K. :boxing: :boxing:

This may be a dumb question, but if one of your guys gets hurt, it's just tough luck? I didn't see anything about pickup allowances. If this is the case, the winner is going to be one lucky SOB. Who wins a championship with zero pickups throughout the course of a season? It's going to be interesting to see which combination of players holds out.
actually no. the winner will be the one who picks a deep team given the salary parameters and will guard himself against "luck" as you put it.also, you better be familiar with the survivor format of how this contest works. i am sure there will be a lot of people making rookie mistakes who have not participated in a survivor style league before that will cost them.

Great points!Experience will move a lot of owners along in this format!

I had a couple of interesting thoughts when putting mine together, which I will share after the deadline.I had not considered the possibility that a big week by a guy like Holcomb could be problematic if I didn't have him (because so many others probably do have him). Of couse, with three other QBs, I'll just have to hope that at least one of them has a better than average week as well. What's going to be really interesting is when one of the RB studs has an off week, especially early in the season. I imagine most people have one of the top guys, but no more than one. So, what happens if, for instance, Ricky Williams falters in Week 1? Would that kill all those owners, especially if Tomlinson, Portis, Faulk, Holmes, etc. all have nice weeks? To survive, two of their three "lesser" backs would need to come up strong.Agree with the previous posters who mentioned that there are definitely some rookie mistakes that could be made here.

Well I finally decided that I was done tweaking my roster. I went Cheap at WR. umm and TE... um and QB ... um and Kicker..um and defenses too !! LOLQB 17 RB 138WR 24TE 4K 8D 8Total 199 Left a dollar on the table and our franchise will invest that in our future new stadium fund. I think I managed to spend more on RB's than any other team that has responded. :football:

OK I will add my teams prices as well.QB- 20RB- 113WR- 51TE- 6PK- 6DEF- 4This will be fun to see how long we all last.

QB - 17RB - 77WR - 54TE - 28K - 7D - 152 points left to play with, back to work! :football:My last adjustments!?QB - 15RB - 63WR - 87TE - 15K - 8D - 11

LOL, I wish a couple of you were in my $$$$$ league!!
It would help if you pointed out who you were laughing at and why, but then we might be lauging at you.As it is, this post is useless. :wall:

I'll just post my roster names and not their salaries because that would... D'OH! QB: 23RB: 99WR: 58TE: 5K: 6Def: 9$200 on the nose baby. There was a guy I really wanted that wasn't even on the list!

Went with lessor RB's hoping to capitalize on a couple of guys who should catch plenty of passes.QB - 18RB - 68WR - 95TE - 6K - 4Def - 9

for now my stats are:$13 - QB$105 - RB$64 - WR$5 - TE$7 - K$6 - DEFbut this stuff will be changing soon... $200 even :brush:
