$150 dues. 10 teams. We have 9 now...you'll be our final owner. Here's the breakdown of pay-offs:
PAYOUTS:
NSBowl Winner = $500
NSBowl Loser = $200
Toilet Bowl Winner = $100Weekly payout for each heads-up game all season = $10
It's a really unique league. It's an auction draft. Start 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, and 2 TE, plus one flex player that YOUR OPPONENT chooses. Plus, unique scoring. Plus, some keeper league elements. So, very unique league. Good guys in it. Trying to make it super competitive and most guys definitely are (there's 2 or 3 who are a little questionable).
This will be year 2. We had 8 players last year. We add two this year (possibly you?) Some of the old teams are set up nicely regarding their keepers and some are back to square 1. New owners will get a crack at cherry picking the waiver pool and get a discount (20% off on 2 players and another at a "franchise player" price). My guess is that you'd be starting out with maybe the 7th best team or so, depending on how/who you pick. It's hard to make it perfectly fair with regards to adding 2 teams, but I think it's as close to fair as one could expect.
For both you and the other new owner, there should be available 2-4 top 8 WR's and one or two top 12 RB's to name your Franchise Player (and get the same price as everyone else) and then a dozen or 2 dozen guys that you'd have your pick of for your 20% discount (you can choose 2 guys to get the discount). All in all, you'll get 3 cherry picked guys at good prices.
The rules, as you can see, are a little complicated, but we'll thought out and fun. It's not like most leagues where you go to espn the day before the draft and print out their cheatsheet and your fine. You gotta think smart, think ahead, and work it a little. It's fun.
If you want more details, I'd be happy to send you the league constitution and the current list of owned players and their prices (the keepers are based on their prices from last season). It will all be slightly overwhelming at first, but you'll get the basics pretty quick. And then from there everyone has their own strategy for short and long term success and you can develop your own.
