TRADES
Trade Reject Time: 1 day
Trade End Date: November 5th, 2022
Allow Draft Pick Trades: No
Trade Review: Commissioner
Season trade deadline is November 5th
Weekly trade deadline is Friday at 11pm EST, unless the trade involves a player playing on Thursday Night Football, then the deadline is Tuesday at 11pm EST. This is to allow about a 24 hour period to approve trades before the players' games begin.
All trades are to be reviewed and approved by the Commissioner. In general, teams are free to make trades as they please, as long as they follow the rules below. This is not the type of league that vetoes trades because they are not fair in the opinion of the Commissioner or other members of the league. As long as both managers are making a trade that improves their own team, then each manager is free to make their own decisions based on their own personal player values. Other managers can protest a trade, but a trade needs to break a rule to be vetoed, not because it makes their rival's team better. A valid trade may seem to have unfair value, but it may be due to one team having a surplus at a position, which should not condemn them from trading.
1) Collusion - an obvious attempt between two owners to improve one team at the expense of the other team. These trades typically cannot in any way be beneficial to one of the trading teams. If there is a situation that is close, then the owner who is perceived to be getting the short end of deal may be asked to explain why they believe the trade helps their team. If the owner doesn't reply or have a invalid explanation, the trade can be vetoed.
2) There is a pending trade and one of the players playing status (injury or suspension) has changed significantly.
3) One of the teams has a poor record and is trading away similar or better players than they are receiving to a team with a better record. For a team with a record of 0-8, 0-7, 0-6, 1-7, 1-6, 1-5, or 2-6 to make a trade, they must be obviously improving their team.
4) A trade involves a player in a Thursday game and the deadline to make the trade for the week has passed (see above).
ABANDONED TEAMS
By joining this league, you are agreeing to participate for the entire season. If a team is found to have given up and stopped setting their lineup, the Commissioner will optimize their lineup according to Yahoo's projections, making add/drops if necessary. This includes when a team tanks a week at the end of the season to help or hurt another team's playoff situation. Please do not make me have to deal with any of that crap this year.
