You heard it here first.

The only team that stands a chance to beat them is Dallas in week 13.

Yeah, who needs a running game. Teams have perfect seasons all the time without a running game. A more likely statement is that teams will ignore the run and tee off on Favre and he will break his starts streak. At some point the D just pins its ears back and blitzes every down.

Is this the same team that just beat a terrible Viking pass defense and even worse Viking offense by only 7 points? It is just me or are there teams that are better than the Vikings out there this year?

You'd think that Wisconsin would run out of paint thinner at some point but they never seem to.

I AM a huge Packer fan (been one for 40+ yrs - been in Lombardi's house and Starr's house) I also like to think I know a little bit about football.

Has anybody noticed that while their young O-line can adequately pass block, they cannot move the line of scrimmage FORWARD, or open any holes for the run? Speaking of the running game .......don't you think, other NFL teams will defensively game plan against a team that has NONE?

Let's get real. That said, they have a better chance of winning their division than Detroit.

Chances are good he actually believes that. He's a Packer fan, after all. :11:
I've noticed you have been very quiet in the Favre threads.
Favre has played well, Fla\/\/ed. It's good that another coach has finally gotten through to him that doing whatever he felt appropriate to win (often to the detriment of the team) was not the right way to go about things. Now, whether or not they can keep winning without a running game, well, that's a whole 'nother story. :hot:

The Green Bay Fudge-Packers have ZERO chance to go 16-0. No way they beat Dallas. No way they win in Chicago (once they get their fudge straight). Washington is no walk in the park. Playing @ Denver is never an easy win. Plus, Favre is bound to have a game with three (3) picks and two (2) fumbles. Enjoy the feel-good story of the year...and remember Elway had Terrel Davis...

Actually teams do not have perfect seasons all the time, even with a running game. In fact, teams with a good running game tend to lose atleast one game per year :) . All I am saying is that the Packers have the best chance of going undefeated of all the remaining undefeated teams. A better chance than New England, Indy, Dallas, who get all the talk without much mention of the Packers. Also, it does not matter what the D does, Favre is invincible and his streak will not end until he decides to retire. Also, Favre eats blitzes for breakfast, so obv blitzing every down is not a good option for opposing "D's.

Ummm.... actually the Vikings have one of the best defenses in the league. The packers put up more points against them than any of their other opponents so far this year. I agree we should have won by more but can't complain too much about that or the win on the road. Packers: 4 down, 12 to go!

Actually the Vikings have a great run defense, but an average pass defense, so the match up was perfect for GB. The Packers are improved by they will lose 3/4 games, the lack of running game will catch up with them.

More like 9-7 if they dont get a running game going soon. But love your devotion, its been a long tough drought for you Pakers fans. No doubt however they will finish much better than my Niners.

The Packers will not win in the cold weather of December with no running game. They will not be able to throw the ball like this in the winter weather.

As a side note, keep Favre for a few weeks...build up your win-loss record...then sell high before the cold weather gets here.

good point, Favre sucks in cold weather

Any of the teams could go 16-0 if they just don't have a down game. The Dolphins in their perfect season weren't even the favorite in the Superbowl. The were a good team that just had everything fall right for them The Packers are probably the least likely of the four remaining unbeatens to go 16-0, but the Packers have one thing going for them that none of the others have. The Packers have Brett Favre, and the legend of Brett Favre just keeps growing. A perfect season would just be another chapter in the most magical career in NFL history.

:lmao:This is horrible shtick, and I'm a Packer fan.BTW, the only way Favre ever misses a game is if he makes the fatal mistake of pissing off Chuck Norris.
