I am looking for team owners for a free start up keeper league. It is the second league of 2. The first league is full and we have 16 good active owners that make it one of the funnest leagues I have ever been part of. I like my leagues to be for football fans, not necessarily fantasy football fans.
This is a pretty deep keeper league on FleaFlicker.com. We have 30 man rosters and start 21 players. Here is a link to the league. http://www.fleaflicker.com/nfl/league?leagueId=119961 The offensive starting slots are as follows: 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 2 RB/WR, and 1 TE/WR. The rosters are pretty flexible so you are not strapped to having a certain # of players at any position. On defense you can either play a 3-4 defense, or a 4-3 defense. The defensive starting slots are as follows: 4 DBs, 3 DLs, 3 LBs, and 1 DL/LB. The scoring is probably a little different than you are used to as well. More and more leagues are getting tired of the same old QBs and RBs score all the points, scoring systems. I have been working for several years to get this leagues scoring system where the best players score the most points, regardless of position. The best LBs and TEs can score just as much as the best QBs and RBs. I try to make my leagues fair for everyone involved. You do not need to be a fantasy guru to be good in my leagues. You just need to know your football. It is a keeper league and we have a unique keeper system that is designed to keep teams from getting lopsided, as 95% of all keeper and dynasty leagues do, without a salary cap. We keep 12 players(6 offense and 6 defense) with the following position limits: 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs and 1 TE on offense and 3 DBs, 3LBs and 3 DLs on defense. We do this for 3 or 4 seasons (there will be a vote once the league is full). Then we switch it up to only keeping 6 players(3 on offense and 3 on defense) with the following position limits: 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE on offense and 2DBs, 2 LBs, 2DLs on defense. We do this to replenish the draft pool every so often. If a big keeper league doesn't so this, the good teams stay good and the bad teams stay bad. This way there can be some parity in the league and your team is not destroyed for ever if you make a few mistakes. I haven't decided on whether we are going to have an email draft or a live draft yet. It kind of depends on how many people we can get to come to a live draft. I am big into making the league fair for everyone. If at least most of the team owners can't agree on a time, it may end up being an email draft. Anyway, that is enough info for now. Please include the following information: Your first name, age, favorite NFL team, fantasy football experience (newbies welcome as long as you really know your football and are dedicated to the league) and give me an idea of your activity level in your previous leagues ( how often do you log in and are you active in trade negotiation and waiver pick ups). If you are one of those people you only log in once a week to set your team up with what ever guys you have on your roster, and don't legitimately try to improve your team, this league is not for you and you will not last long in it. Dedicated active owners are what we are looking for. My answers to these questions are as follows: Ray, 36, Ravens, over ten years fantasy experience and I log in every day. I like to include my info so you don't think I am trying to stalk you or anything like that....LOL I am just simply trying to weed out the casual fantasy player and seriously get 16 good active owners together for a good fun league.
