Tough league. Old league, many members been there for more than 5 years, including three husband and wife teams. I am not saying I am a Shark by any means, but the level of all the teams is Shark-like.
This year we did a numbers on a card thing and had the waitress at Hooters pull em for us. I wound up with the 16th pick. We draft Wed night, before the first game. Scroing is distance based on everything, so longer TDs are worth more as are FGs. Rackers lead the league in scoring the week of the Mexico City game ( I Had him
), but no PPR and you draft Team QB and Team PK. No tight end required.
Total Starters: 8
Number of Starting TMQBs: 1
Number of Starting RBs: 2
Number of Starting WR+TEs: 3
Number of Starting TMPKs: 1
Number of Starting Defs: 1
Past results in this league conform to the RB rule. One guy took TO and Moss (the Straight UP Cash Homie one) 1-2 last year on a flyer, (finished 3-10) but other than that, RBs rule it.
So, after doing several mocks in DD, I found a trend to draft RBs 1-4. And then go from there. Anyone have any better ideas? Remeber with Team QB, you have 32 to pick from and with 16 teams, you cant pick up any in waivers.
As far as last year, 16th pick was 5-8 and he slected Julius Jones and Kevin Jones 1.16 and 2.01. As a hard core Lions fan, I know better than to do that.
I checked the pinnd thread and saw no 16th pick thread. So I am tossing this one up here.
One plan, take the best 4 RBs and draft to fill after that.
Two plan, take the best 2 RBs and then handcuff them in 3-4.
Three plan, take Harrison/Holt 1-2 and hope they dont implode ala Moss/Owens last year.
Four plan, take Indy QB/Patriots QB 1-2 and hope for an awesome trade offer.
Another assupmtion, tell me if I am wrong. With NO ppr, and NO TE required, I dont plan on drafting any. Maybe I am still smarting from taking Gonzo in the third round last year.
I am all ears and thank you in advance for offering up tips.
