1pm - Brian Quick - WR, STL - OUT (1 Viewer)

Fisher says Quick was healthy scratch Week 1

Coach Jeff Fisher said Brian Quick was a healthy scratch Week 1 against the Seahawks.

Fisher said it was "numbers related", not "physically related." In other words, Quick isn't a top-five receiver in St. Louis at the moment, as he's behind Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, Chris Givens, and special teamer Bradley Marquez. Quick wasn't on the Week 1 injury report following last year's shoulder surgery, but the initial feeling was the Rams wanted to give him more time to recover after bringing him along slow over the summer. Quick needs more reps in practice with the No. 1 offense. He's no longer a must-keep in redraft.
How did we spend all preseason hearing about how he was a sleeper because he was going to be their WR1 when it turns out he wasn't even their WR5?

I hope people drop him. He's a good WR. The cream will rise to the crop. If you're a subscriber, check this article out.

So who is the WR to grab in STL then?
It's been kinda lonely up here in the locomotive of the Stedman Bailey bandwagon ... just me and Soulfly most of the offseason

But I think (especially in PPR leagues) he has the potential to put up sneaky-good numbers in this offense. Don't think he'll ever be a true #1 but he could easily lead the team in catches.

Jared Cook and Stedman Bailey to lead the way IMO. That OT catch Bailey made where he beat Sherman for 22 yards and held on as Thomas lowered the boom was the kind of thing QBs remember.

Crap. You other guys that own him dropping him or holding?
I'm holding for now until we get more clarity. 16-team league so there's not much out there.
14 team here. Looking at Nate Washington. Quick supposed to be my wr3.
14 team here, too. I want to hold out but with Dez and D Jax out my healthy WR's are too thin. I have a waiver claim on Stevie Johnson dropping Quick.

How did Stevie go undrafted in a 14 team league?! His ADP was like in the 130's or 140's.

Someone dropped him for a RB to plug into their lineup.

I'm guessing he's not totally healed. Maybe I will end up regretting it but I just dropped him for Stedman.

Tavon Austin. Put up lots of points. If your league rewards return yardage, he could be a sneaky play.

Week 1 was peak Tavon. Five targets for -2 yards, a return TD and four rushing attempts.

He's strictly a gadget player/returner. If Quick is fully healthy there's plenty of room for him with Britt and Bailey.
