1 RB league...No Flex...What the have I gotten myself into? How does 1RB affect your draft strategy?

Ok guys Im new to this format, but not new to fantasy football. I have been playing for 9 years. Been around the block a few times. I know my way around the neighborhood. But there is this new girl in town and I can't figure her out. Could you give me some tips?

Be flexible. Yes. How flexible? Its nice to have a few plans drawn out just in case. Please share your thoughts.

Joining a 9 year league as the new kid on the block. I am here to compete and win big. Losing to these seasoned veterans is not an option. :football:

12 Teamer NONPPR No flex

All TDs 6 pts

10 rec/ruyards = 1 pt

20 passing yards = 1 pt

1 RB

2 WR

1 QB

1 K

1 DST

7 Bench

QB strategy: Get 1 early somewhere.

Gotta go QB after the my main 4 rbs(ADP, MJD, Turner & Forte)?

RB Strategy: Lottery Style

Starting 1 makes finding a RB much easier. Its not crucial to have a lock down RB. Unlike QBs. I don't mind having a grab bag of rbs. Hoping 1 breaksout big time. Or going RBBC. This strategy will not work out for qb or wr. So Rb will be my most flexible drafting position.

WR Strategy: Grab 1 top 10 WR

If you can get 2 of the top 15 while locking in a tier 1 or tier 2 qb. You are in good shape.

Help an FBG'r out. Good size $$$ league. :boxing:

Thanks. Footballguys Rocks.

Unless you can get Brady or Brees in the top 4 picks, I would still wait to take a QB. RBs have less value than normal with supply and demand working the way it is.Even with no PPR, WRs are still good value as you need to start 2 and the bench is short. So after ADP (1), Brady (2), and Brees (3) I would then look to Fitz (4), Moss (5), and the Johnsons (6 & 7). (There are sure to be good RBs out there in the 2nd round). Then (8) MJD, Turner (9), Manning (10), S. Smith (11), Wayne (12), SJax (13), DWill (14) R. White (15), Jennings (16), Boldin (17), LaDanian (18)...

Thanks Ook Ook.

Outside of the stud rbs QBs then Wrs. I appreciated the ADP run down. Where can I get that?

Anybody else have something to share?

I have absolutely no problem with that league set up.

I was giving you VBD rankings based on my own projections and those league specifications.

Of course, it might be more appealing format with 20 owners.

But hey, think about the wiaver wire depth! Some people find playing the wire the most fun part during the season, could be interesting.

I'd ignore the rb position unless one of the huge names fell into your lap. If I couldn't land an elite qb, I'd stock up on the stud wr's.

Sounds good. Thanks guys. Most of the strategy is in the front of the draft i am assuming. Choosing weekly starters will prove to be interesting...if you don't have studs.
