Brady Quinn in his first two games:
21/35 vs. MIN
and
18/31 vs Denver
Before getting benched against Baltimore.
Now, I know the Browns have their problems, and they have a LOT of problems, but really, Min. and Den. are two fine defenses (and so is/was Baltimore's), maybe the HC and GM deserve some criticism in light of what Anderson has and has not done since taking over?
They drafted a QB with a 1st round pick, moved up to get him, and then bench him after two mediocre games against two really good defenses (a third if you count Baltimore?)?
Was wondering this when reading the dreaded voted of confidence for Mangini.
No fan of Quinn's here, but really looking at it was he really doing any worse than Sanchez, Stafford, Henne or Russell???
I'd say no. What's the point of drafting a QB in the first year if not at least sweating out the first year he starts and learns???
