#2 Pick PPR (1 Viewer)

Several things I'm thinking about going into the draft in a PPR at the #2 spot

Vikings offense very banged up

Jones Drew- inured maybe maybe not

Rice has more help spreading the field

I have done several drafts and was certain I was going to take Peterson, Then best WR, then best Qb.

How has your two spot strategy worked for you?

Are you now worried about your first pick?

Last Mock I had Peterson, Miles, Brady, then played it out best Value

Are you finding any good backs in rounds 7 and 8 in a real draft?

I've got 2nd pick in a 12 team PPR (2 RB, 3WR, and 1 flex) draft tomorrow night and I think I'm overanalyzing it. I mean, you have to take ADP right (assuming CJ424 goes #1)? Part of my dilemma is that I'm really high on the RBs that are available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds - i.e. J. Charles, J. Best, P. Thomas. Combine that with the fact that none of the elite WRs will be available once my 2nd round pick comes up, and some part of my brain keeps telling me to take Andre Johnson at #2 overall and then grab 2 of those RBs at the turn. That's nuts though, right?

Had my draft this past Thursday - here are my top 7 (it worked out that I filled all my starting spots with the first 7 picks save K and Def):

Rice, Brady, Colston, H. Ward, Finley, R. Bush, S. Moss

It was a toss up to me between Rice and MJD - I just like Baltimore a lot better than Jax and think that Rice can finish top at RB position.

I think Brady will have a huge year and think if healthy he looks good to be top 3.

Colston - solid WR1 and he was the last of the WR1 on my list so I felt I had to take him.

H. Ward - I hated this pick for a few reasons but I didn't see another WR that I felt was dependable and would be consistent. Very little upside but he shouldn't kill me either.

Finley - the man love for Finley in this forum is unreal but I think taking him in the 5th round kind of balances out the craziness against what appears to be great potential.

R. Bush - Lots of upside here if healthy - I love having him in PPR.

S. Moss - guy isn't flashy but like Ward is very steady and should be consistent.

Overall - I've got a couple of upside guys and a couple verteran consistent players. I'm not thrilled with my WRs but hoping Rice and Brady can offset and WR non-production.

The rest of my team filled out like this - don't have the draft in front of me so order may not be perfect

RB B. Jacobs

WR D. Hester

WR M. Massoquoi

RB D. Sproles

TE Shockey

RB W. McGahee

QB V. Young

Def San Fran

RB L. Washington

I have my big draft tonight and drew no 2 so now that MJD's knee is tricky I will take Ray Rice though I have reservations about him too. W. McGee is a TD vulture from hell.

I know. The ppr thing is probably swaying me too much. I could trade down and pick up a higher 3rd rd pick- dropping from second to sxith in the first round. Decisions, decisions. And I already started drinking before we all meet at this guy's house for burgers by the pool.
